Fimi mini v2 flight at WW2 barracks

Good morning Kevin - and greetings to your better half, too, who was watching from the car. I always envy you for your beautiful and exciting flying area. But okay: We here in the German Black Forest also have a few interesting areas that I will soon explore from the air. As far as the recording quality of your Fimi camera is concerned, I have to agree with you. It is excellent - especially for a drone in this price range. - With a $10,000 drone, anyone can deliver absolute top quality... With the small Fimi, however, we are currently talking about only about $400 I also know occasional small gimbal-tilts from my X8. But they can be easily fixed in the editing software (I use the Movavi Video Suite). Good time to you both and have a nice Sunday!

thanks,it is a pretty good little drone for its price range and the camera does look better than the previous version,i don't mind a slight horizon tilt as long as it isn't too noticeable

I had an issues with the gimbal tilted. What I did was to go into the gimbal advance settings with a straight line object aline and saved it and it's working perfectly. Stay blessed and safe all the time guys.

Yes that works to fix the horizon tilt,i just haven't got around to doing it with this drone yet.thanks for watching.

I get that SD card error every time. I'm not sure what that's about, but I wish Fimi would correct it. Your video quality in this video looked good. I'm never able to get the 100 mbs bit rate that Fimi promises, I typically see it in the high 60s. BTW, my ancestors are from NS. My great grandfather was born in Wallace, NS. Excellent video, and wonderful views!

this is the only fimi it happens to for me and i have the x8se 2020,and the 2022.i just sold my fimi mini v1 when i picked up this v2.im liking it a lot more than the v1 as the picture and colors i found horrible,this was the first time i got that sd card error and is probably my fourth or so flight with it now.very cool you had family from here,it's full of great places to fly brother,once i get my car fixed next month ill start travelling around the island again for much better views,i live rite on the very eastern coast about 5 min from the newfoundland ferry and oh ya wait until you see the huge rc im building now of our local ferry...it's the MV Atlantic Vision and is about 4 or 5 feet long and will be full of lighting and hopefully servos for the gates,i have well over 100 hours into the build now.thanks for checking out the vid marcus.

fimi x8 mini v2 $520 canadian ...le dji mini 3 $580 canadian...le choix est facile....ce drone est bien mais trop cher (too expensive)....superbe video et tres belle endroit

oui c'est un peu trop vu mais il y a beaucoup de gens qui veulent autre chose que dji à cause de leurs restrictions de vol que fimi n'a pas.

I got the SD card error on my 1st mini today I can only think there is a glitch in the app but since fimi are not replying to emails lately due to high volume of complaints wanting there x8 pro back to your flight nice good colours but it is a bit of a monster flying try tripod mode it is alot smoother 👍😁📸

just send them a Chat message on their website, theyll typically reply within 8-12 hours and itll go to your email. Remember they're based in China so their work day could be much different than yours

how smooth/reliable is the video transmission? on a scale of 1-10 with a 1 being a cheap Holy Stone hs720G with Ophilia Fly app and a 10 being a DJI Mavic paired with the built-in-screen controller

I would say about a 6 or a 7,it has really decent inage transmission.I haven't had this v2 out over 1km yet but its just an updated version of the first one and i have had that one out 1.5km in the past,the farthest i have had this version so far is a little over 500m with no breakup or any issues.It is a pretty decent drone overall but it's a fimi and does have some little annoyances.

@@H484R no problem.the tracking actually works on this one too,it actually locks on the target and stays locked unlike the v1 that always loses the target after about 2 seconds

@@capeRCouple That's great to hear. I feel like FIMI has really upped their game in the past year or two. I'm really excited to see how the X8 Pro performs. I tried talking them into sending me some demo models of different drones to review but when they realized my channel is brand new they shot me down pretty quickly 😂 not that I'm surprised

@@H484RI can't even get them to send me anything and i have close to 2k subscribers now.you will have better luck with the smaller companies once your channel starts to pass the 1000 subscriber mark and its hard to get there bro.It took me 4 years to get where i'm at now and i try to upload a video every 3 days.I can tell you stick to an upload schedule and it will grow but it takes a long time unless you have a viral video.Ill give you a subscribe to help you out.

How is the customer support on this drone? I have the Walkera, but I am planning to return it. With Walkera, I have not received any correspondence from the company which is concerning to me.

Honestly i would keep emailing them,you should get an answer sooner or later,fimi drones are ok but their quality control is terrible.I returned two fimi minis before i finally got a decent working one and i had to pay the shipping cost twice and it isn't cheap at $150 each time.

It seems your fimi does have its share of minor issues. The confusing issue I have is.. it's been a few months now that the V2 has been in production. Yet there is no update for the Gimbal, FC or RC... each of which have noticeable problems and yet Fimi has been completely silent in all Arenas of Support. As it's been stated before.. not everyone has the same issues which means to me that these products are assembled by different people and not checked along the assembly line. Whenever you have a variety of people putting together the same thing.. you will always get variations and it seems there is no such thing as a Quality Assurance Dept. Basically as long as the product looks like it is supposed to.. it is assumed to be perfectly fine. The variation on QC for the past few Fimi products is over the moon... it's ridiculous. As usual.. It's a Lottery... But yes , I agree.. this V2 camera is a step forward.. I can only assume the X8Pro camera will be better as well, but that's another headache waiting to happen (to which I did not play into). Love the views and thoughts and prayers are with everyone out there.. you had the Hurricane and now the Province is plagued with fires.. 👍🙏🤞🤷😊

Your probably correct as to multiple different places building these and the quality control is as usual.It is like playing the lottery every time you buy a fimi drone.I'm just glad i didn't have to send this one back this time,the v1 i had to send back twice and each time it cost me $150 in shipping and they kept sending me another plagued unit;i was mad as hell after waiting another month just to recieve another dud drone.I actually like this one much better as its tracking actually keeps the target locked now instead of losing it after one or two seconds as my v1 did every time and the camera looks so much better on this one.

I have some corrupt files on my SD card. How can this be? I didn't receive any money or gifts from anyone?

corrupt files can happen when powering off the device before stopping the recording,this is the only way i ever seen files go corrupt
