The weather was too windy to fly the Fimi X8, so I will make another video later this week showing the X8's first flight, and some of its capabilities.

The quad connects to the controller, via 2.4 mkz or 5.8 mkz

I just noticed your question. The quad uses the controller to do its magic, its not like a normal Wifi signal that drops out in 50 or so metres, its suppose to give a clear picture to around the 8 kilometre mark.

I thought the RC comes prebound, but pulling the sticks left to 4:30 and right to 7:30 doesn't spin up the motors How do you bind the rc? It doesn't connect as described: - Turn on the drone - Turn on the RC, long press the power button 15 seconds until hearing constant beep sound，and the power button red light flashes - Short press the code pairing button on the drone , the yellow light on the drone goes out - The code pairing succeeds when the power button on the RC turns white and the yellow light on the drone keeps on I have the lower switch in WiF position

To get the sticks to respond for takeoff with the classic "V" position, make sure you have them both located in the small indents. You will feel this location, by rolling the sticks hard against their walls.

I'm currently going through Covid 19 lockdown Stage 4. I live in Victoria, Australia, and we have Nightly Curfews, also Limited to 1 Hour outdoor exercise a day, etc. (Big Fines if you break the rules, and possible jail time. ) According to the local News Reporters, we have the toughest lockdown laws in the world. So I haven't been able to get out to do any flight recording for the last couple of months.😞

Banggood? I ordered from USA warehouse too and they said up-front shipping mid-June. It was significantly cheaper than China direct, plus I had a coupon code. The up side to the wait is you get other people to be test pilots ;-) and maybe some firmware updates like HDR video enabled. Fingers crossed.

@@kenweller2032 Same for me. Ordering it via Banggood from the US warehouse was a steal in price, so I'm alright with the wait time. However I didn't get the mind june notice, just the expect to ship in 2 weeks mail a few days ago. However you're right, and as its my first drone I'm perfectly content with someone else being test pilots and we can wait for plausible firmware updates. :)

Yes The serial number is located on the bar-code image on the box, it matches the quad serial number.

For the Price, you get a very good quad. Its not without its faults though. Also In this price range, you have the Mavic Mini. (I own the mini also) The mini can't handle the wind like the heavier Fimi X8, but it does produce some very nice video footage, and has a few extra camera settings.

I cant help you with that question, Fimi have conflicting information in their printed manual, and their website.

Try a full phone reboot, then reinstall the Fimi Navi 2020 App. (Make sure you choose the 2020 version)

I bought this, my phone does not fit. Sony xperia xz. I cant use the cable because the cable hide out is to low

That's sad to hear. Perhaps if you contact fimi support, they might know of an accessory to fit your phone into the controller. P.S. I had a look at a Mavic Mini phone holder I have for over sized phones, the holder will fit, but is not very secure, so you would need to glue them in position. If you need a link, let me know, and I'll pop one up for you.

Don't loose your money on Xiaomi drones.I have Mi Drone 4K 2 years ago and i can't flight it anymore because Xiaomi stop support it at applications and phones.The 4K drone can flight only with below Android 9 system, or IOS system below 10.

You can use an older mobile phone to fly your quad, the one you used when you first bought the Xiaomi Mi, comes to mind. Why not use that phone, as a dedicated one for your quad?
