Final Battle: War Kills the Destroyer. Abaddon Death (Darksiders 1 | Boss Fight)

Final battle with Destroyer / Abaddon. Abaddon was the former leader of the Hellguard before turning into The Destroyer and commanding hell's forces on Earth and conquer and rule both it and heaven. He is later revealed as the main antagonist of Darksiders but he was eventually fought by war when the horsemen defeated his chosen and infiltrated his tower who ended Abaddon and his reign once and for all. The leader of the Hellguard, Abaddon bravely fought in the name of Heaven for many millenia. His hatred for demonkind was fierce and he was less than content with the treaties of the Charred Council, a view that put him out of favor with the majority of the angels. He is described as being the greatest warrior Heaven has ever produced.
When Belisatra's construct army attacked Eden in an attempt to recover Grand Abominations from the Nephilim's last battle, it was Abaddon that led the reinforcements for the angel garrison there. During the battle, a construct using the long thought lost Nephilim sword Affliction attacked Abaddon and took his eye.
Death encountered Abaddon when he arrived at the angel encampment at Eden, where angelic healers were trying and failing to save Abaddon's sight. Were it not for his own innate power and the healer's efforts, the blade's poisoning effects would have claimed far more than his eye. Abaddon and Azrael negotiated with Death to share their knowledge regarding the incident, but Death left as soon as he saw Affliction, correctly guessing the constructs' purpose in attacking Eden.
The Archangel later encountered Death and his brother War in the White City when the two fought an angelic assassin on their way to research the Maker Belisatra in the Argent Spire. The Archangel confronted them with his guards, a young Uriel among them, and nearly attacked them out of fury for War's recent raid on a facility of his. But Death managed to blitz Abaddon and held him at blade-point, threatening him with both certain death and a declaration of war from the Charred Council. Once the seven seals have been broken, the three kingdoms would be judged, and the horsemen would be unleashed upon those who threaten the balance. With the actions of both angels and demons alike. It would seem the Horsemen may ride, but not in favor of Heaven or Hell or even the charred council, but for the third kingdom. Delivering to humanity, justice and vengeance. It would also be something if the final boss was none other than Lucifer himself. Ending him once and for all. Samael most likely taking over, just as Eurael takes over for Abaddon.

Death simply stepped between them and got impaled by chaos eater then just looked at war said something about wisdom being a valuable thing and with a single swipe of the harvester (that's deaths scythe for those who don't know) severed wars arm. And strife remarked that death is practically invulnerable but war is not

Lol that's because developers wanted the fight to be hard. And the "Chaos form" Does more damage and doesn't get stunned. Therefore it makes the fight a lot easier. That's why they made it so you get knocked out of Chaos form with 1 hit

They take place at different time, remember when DS 3 STARTS WAR IS imprisoned , he was locked up for like 100 years at the end of DS3 war is gone. DS3 takes place just before DS1 starts DS2 takes place just after war is beaten by straga in DS1

War is the strongest of the horsemen. Also death only cut off his hand by the help of fury it was not 1v1

He is physically the strongest. But Death is the most powerful and also the most skilled in hand to hand combat as well as the most experienced being older than the other horsemen. Yes it took three horsemen to subdue war but they were also not trying to kill war. Only stop him. And Death only cut Wars arm off out of mercy and tough love. Death even vouched for War after that incident saying that War was punished enough. The council would have done far worse than cut off wars arm if it wasn’t for Death. Death also has the ability to regenerate, unlike his brother war. Death having his arm cut off would not have affected him the same way. In a 1 on 1 encounter, war would put up a fight but Death has the edge. As long as Death doesn’t make a mistake he takes that fight. War and Death are the most powerful horsemen of the four, with fury coming after war and strife being the weakest (however strife is the second eldest and considered second in command if something were to happen to Death).

All he said to War is “Wisdom is a great gift” right before slicing Wars arm off causing war to scream in agony. And this was Death not using a fraction of his power because his goal was not to harm war. War was using all his strength because he was enraged at the council.
