Hey Megalodon, that question of "If I enjoyed this event" really stuck out to me lol, so heres my honest criticism. (warning, its a lot of wikia colors yap but this is rather informative) (Chapter 4 Mechanic Wise) The final boss btw is actually bad and its the easiest thing compared to the rest of the waves. It feels literally the same as the corrupted apex, I saw or felt no differences. Not only that, they completely forgot about the story and they forgot about the cutscenes and the voice acting just feels rushed compared to what the trailer was. Imagine act 3 lunar overture tds, its literally what it feels like and it's a let down because this event had effort. Not only that, of course you decide to remake another apex predator, this is a common theme in Erads and regular predators. Another problem with this chapter is that players literally need golden ranger in order to even defend early game, as of seeing this no one else has been able to early game without it. XWM is bad for this because G jugg is surprisingly cheaper to spam mid game, and there are little to none dps options because of resistances. Maybe regular jugg works but id doubt its dps top path would make the cut (or range, one or the other). So what does this mean? Players are forced to get golden towers for *NORMAL* mode, does that make sense to you? The whole point of an easier game mode is to make sure people can actually beat it. Compared to the other chapters, this just felt like a complete letdown, as the hype from the trailer already got the crowd going. Update: You can beat normal with regular jugg and rail gunner. Please note that I ALREADY BEAT both nightmare and normal mode, and this comment was made before the normal mode video came out. Regardless, the criticism for the rushed assets of chapter 4 still stands. (Event General Wise) I respect john for trying to make something story, but the issue is there isn't even a story to begin with. The ending of this event was just abrupt, because there was no ending to being with. We know nothing on what this whole invasion was about, and it felt rather just a self insert left without any context. Again, Im glad john attempted to make something like this, it is his first time, but considering how many times you delayed, rushed things, and were focused a lot more on the pass it seemed like (which was actually really good in my opinion, and felt better than the TB collab and the xp scaling was just BETTER.), I think you need to take the time and need to rethink choices or maybe don't consider doing an event like this until you have a fully functional team. This is what was happening with tds, the coordination was bad, and they had to rush things at the last minute without even giving the change to fix problems due to the fact that it's an event, and you have little time to work with. After this, tds finally had a team that had good coordination, was feedback responsive, and was able to make something actually good in a short time frame. Next time if john wants to do something like this, please consider dates, and the coordination between your own dev team. Heres how I think the boss should of worked, 3 red crystals (or purple because they use both) all are like repairs for the Wretched. He has parts of him that are meant to be destroyed so that when the crystals repair him he gets stronger parts making it kinda like the more you damage him the more powerful he gets. And for the armor if you destroy one of the crystals that has armor on him the armor cracks off leaving the actual part vulnerable. So for example if you destroy the crystal that has armor on the bottom he will take more damage from there and if you have towers shooting from the top (like placed on top of something) he will take less damage because theres still armor there. Basically like when he gets damaged in certain spots, he gets armor on those spots that makes him take 50% less damage from all sources (laser, explosive, bullet, etc) and if you destroy the crystal that has some armor on him the armor breaks off leaving that part taking more damage. I made this because he is such a cool boss but he works like a bullet sponge tbh.

Commander is quite unique for its DMG buff and abilities so i don't think you can replace it, rather find something to accomplish another role instead like toxicnator for 30%/10% debuff, Railgunners for even more DPS, John for its Rage ability or just anything you find fit.
