ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZbin and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

Remember calving on freezing, raining, windy, miserable nights back in the 1960's/early '70's. We were either on foot, on horseback or driving a tractor without a cab. Do not envy you this lambing year or tonight!! Empathize with your soggy lambing struggles. Hoping the weather improves for the rest of the lambing season for you and everyone else negatively affected.

I feel for you Cammy, I am a retired farmer 24 years ago my last lambing nearly put me in the local loony bin as it rained solid for 3 weeks the death and destruction was just heartbreaking on top of tiredness but you need to somehow switch off and go into auto mode, here’s hoping the weather improves for you guys.

Aye it's a struggle lambing outside in such horrific weather. The conditions don't get much worse, unless it's snowing, which has been known. You're a hero to show how tough the job is in such awful weather. This warts and all video is farming at the coal face. No sanitized rubbish you usually see on TV every spring to show the general public how wonderful farming is. This is as real as it gets.

Hats off to you cammy. What a night. I work in a animal by products plant and from first hand this years lambing is absolutely devastating. We are taking twice as much sheep and cattle due to the weather. You have to feel for the farmers who are out there battling this brutality.

Spot is doing really well now. Keep praising him and he will do even better. I went out to my garden the other day to clear some dog poop and my wee wellies got stuck in the mud it was that bad. More drama here than in a movie! The light and pixels only adding to the situation. The thought of the sheep going in to a drier environment for their lambing worms all of us sheep fans after this rainy video. We visited aan alpaca ranch in Arizona that had Great Pyrenees dogs. The poor beast was exhausted during the daytime but worked all night to keep the mountain lions and the coyotes away. The two dogs never let a predator through.

Oh Cammy! Second vid today, and I missed a live. What a night you’re having. Actually the reason I missed the live was I was showing my grandson on the map where Scotland was, and we were trying to see if there were visible storms there (you’d said earlier it would be rubbish weather). I couldn’t see any ‘weather’ but I may not have my settings right for that. Get those girls in and get something warm ti drink. Loved this, seeing even during the dark/dusk how it just doesn’t stop in lambing season. I’ve watched some of Glyns vids in Ireland too. He’s been having a horrible time with the weather!
