Stage 1 highlights from the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2023. This year's race kicks of with a 124km stage starting and finishing in Clermont-Ferrand. It's a rolling route with a sting in the tail: the Côte de Durtol (1.7km at 7.2%) peaks with just 9km to go, followed by a fast descent to the finish!

Why am I not seeing the complete race on GCN+?

The host broadcaster doesn't produce a complete race broadcast. They start an hour or two into the stages, like it used to be with the men's race until a couple of years ago.

You would think they'd start this race a week after the men's event is over. To give the teams time to use the same crew/buses etc. With overlap, teams now have to run two separate support squads. Pricey...

Heartbreak for the lone escapee Julie van de Velde (Fenix-Deceuninck) yesterday, stage 3. Caught at 200m to go, such a shame for her. I was rooting for her all the way. Deserved the victory. Cycling can be so cruel indeed. At least she secured the polka dot jersey!

Such great racing. And so many amazing riders to cheer for. I'm still hoping for Demi to take the overall though. Who is the presenter on this? I've noticed that he's done all of the Women's World Tour races the last few years. I like him SO much better than the two that present on the men's side. It would be great to have a female commentator as well but this guy is the best of the ones I normally hear on GCN Racing.
