Very nice film, made in difficult conditions, of a wonderful day. Not just the last day but a who's who of narrow gauge and miniature railway workers and enthusiasts. My son and I spent most time at the top, I'm the bloke with the cat, and we caught the last train down with Henry Allum. My cat was the Railway's final passenger, a nice pub quiz question of the future. I'll be making a video slideshow of photographs in the next few days. Thanks for making this film. Yours and Henry Allum's films paint a nice portrait of a great community coming together.

Many thanks. I'm surprised, but pleased, there wasn't more wind noise on the video, and I had a job holding the camera still a few times. Haha, yes I noticed the cat a few times and wondered what the story behind it was? I'm afraid my dedication isn't as good as Henry's, as he travelled all the way from the London area and I only came from Northwich. Great to be there though. I'll look out for your video.

Brilliant video Phil and nice to see you there! Good to see the day from a different perspective. It's a day I'll certainly always remember.

Thanks Henry. Yes good to see you as well, on a day that will be well remembered.

The railway should not have to close. What would the enthusiasts do without it? If I were a member of the railway, I'd keep it alive till the day I die. The council obviously can't see that the steam engines are helping to keep our land green. Without carbon from the steam engines, the trees will die, and so will we because there won't be any oxygen left. The council are trying to destroy our planet, that's for sure. Long live steam engines and the rails they run on.

The councils only support big developers, that completely ruin the countryside

You guys have some odd restrictions over there, I'm going to presume the extension would've stayed on the property of the farm...and they needed approval for that? I could literally build a private railway on my personal property without any local approval...unless I happened to live in a place with an HOA(Home Owners Association), but those have way to much power and need to be restricted.
