I've searched through HUNDREDS of desk/office space videos and tutorials AS WELL as THOUSANDS of Pinterest inspo boards. Not once have I found a more perfect desk setup or video that is as firstly; detailed with your descriptions of each product, AND links to each product as well! Secondly, no other set up has been this sleek, with both mac OS AND windows OS's which I've been looking for FOREVER! Thirdly, your aesthetic choice is very modern and masculine. Maximal but minimal. Rudimentary and common sense oriented. I am 100% setting up my office to mirror this! As a digital design artist, gamer, musician, and aomeone who wants to get into editing, this is quite literally THE setup dude. NICE fucking job here man. Bravo!

I really like that you’re not afraid to do something DIY to make things cheaper. When I was building my standing desk, I got a nice thick piece of wood from Lowe’s, cut it, stained it and put clear coat on it and the wood itself was like $40. Saved myself a lot of money, and now I’m super proud to say that I made the top. I’d highly recommend it to the people who have the time and want to do something like that DIY

This desk setup is my dream setup. The only thing I’d change is make the monitor into a 27” 4k 240Hz monitor (I’m aware that doesn’t exist yet, but I’m waiting for a day it comes out), then I’d have a different monitor riser, and finally have 2 oled portable monitors just like you have, and 2 PC’s mounted to the Magnus Pro XL. Amazing setup, this is a setup I’d take heavy inspiration from.

@@techbymidas I got my desk in and I have to say, best purchase I have made for my new home office. I love the thing. It was heavy to put together by myself but I managed. The only issue I had with it was when the riser is attached, your access to the tray in the back is really limited unless you have small hands, I do not. So, my cords are not as OCD-compatible as I would like. I got some wire management stuff from LTT Store that came with magnetic plates, which I used under the riser and mounted magnets on the Balolo watch, mage safe, and tablet holders. works perfectly. I'm just waiting to get the speakers you recommend to come in, a new keyboard, mouse, and my new gaming tower to come in to complete the desk. Thank you again for such a great video and motivation to make my setup clean and distraction-free.

Thanks for stopping by Matt! The 49" & portable monitor combo is definitely my favourite so far. I'm switching from FCPX mainly to be able to edit on both Windows & Mac. Also, the coloring plugin I use which is an FCPX exclusive also recently introduced a sneaky subscription model making me no longer interested in using it. When I purchased, it was on the promise of never having to pay for updates but now they make you pay for updates every year which is unacceptable to me. I need to have other editing options so this can never happen to me again.

Flickering caused by VRR enabled on your screen. Disable it on the actual screen settings and keep gsync on. Or disable gsync but enable VRR. Slight trade off for each option but makes the flickering stop.

Your PC is a gaming beast. The 4090 is probably more than what I paid for my PC which has an i9 12900k and a 7700XT. I like the wall slats but I live in an apartment and I doubt the management would appreciate me nailing those to the wall. As well as my neighbors.
