I love the whole thing - but since the room is so large, couldn't help but think a flight/racing sim would have been cool on the other half of the room... or a vr space! those are expensive, but maybe a future project :)

@@ABCthemusicman That's a great idea, but yeah...it would be a pricey project. Maybe some company will sponsor me and send me most of the parts, lol. I do have plans for the rest of the space. You need to add a cleanroom outside this room with an air bath and cleanroom suits. You'll need an air filtration system in the room as well. Your videos always remind me I need to up my ambient lighting game, not just at my desk but in my house in general. It really transforms the space. I totally agree with hiring out taping and mudding, what took that guy 2 days would have probably taken me 2 weeks. The project board template is brilliant. I have to remember that for when I'm doing work around my imperfect house!

tip of advice from someone who works at a paint store, in my opinion Behr does not make good paint/primer products. When you said you did 3 coats of primer I real life went "huh". If i was to recommend primer or paint for future projects I'd recommend Sherwin Williams or even Benjamin more primer (not a fan of their paint imo). Sherwin is a bit more expensive but imo one coat of primer and a coat of paint over pink walls for me was the best and least time consuming.

Setup looks sick, and I like that vinyl trick you used. Gonna have to try that if I ever get a bigger countertop desk. Definitely keep me updated on how that MSI arm handles the tilt sag on that monitor as well. I bought a cheap dual arm set awhile back but the lock that controlled the tilt stripped after a couple of weeks so my monitor would just droop down towards the desk. Eventually got a Pixio dual arm set that I haven't had that problem with, but I'm interested in getting an ultrawide monitor soon, and I need a good solo arm for it.
@Ideal-Setup3 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, i'll keep everyone posted. I noticed some sag initially, but I just had to tighten the top part further and that did the trick. How long do you keep the boxes for all your products? I have a problem of hoarding boxes.
@Ideal-Setup2 ай бұрын
Usually a couple of weeks to be safe, but then toss them out. But for special cases like my monitor where I have a 3 year additional warranty on it, I'm keeping it for the 3 years in case I need to return it. And it's a huge box, lol.

Great video! Liked and subscribed 👍 Not sure if it's just me or if your voice seems a bit muffled; I had to increase the volume to be able to better hear you, but I enjoyed the video and could still hear you until the very end. Thanks for posting!

Thanks! Good to know, I was afraid of making it too loud and checked the audio through my laptop to try and make sure most people would hear it well, but guess I didn't get it right. What did you listen to it with? Just so I can try and listen to it that way next time and confirm it sounds decent.

@@ahmedelboghdadi5328 Gotcha. Did you use external speakers or straight out of the tv speakers? If I don't use my sound bar for my tv, I have to turn it up loud for voices. My tv's own speakers suck.

@@Ideal-Setup I used the TV speakers, and while they do suck as well, I could still hear your voice a bit muffled compared to previous and later videos I watched using the same TV speakers.

@@Ideal-Setup Yeah, at 20:48 in the video, you have some sort of screen that says the word "Salford" on it. Firstly, what is that device exactly, and why did it say the word Salford on it? Why do you have it? Where did you get it? What is its purpose?
@Ideal-Setup2 ай бұрын
@@dexanexa Oh, that is the Pixoo64! It's by a company called Divoom. It's a pixel that displays animated art at 64x64 pixels. It's for that retro look. You get access to an app full of the art you can download and display or make/upload your own. When I turned it on, it just displayed random ones. Then you can set it to your own or have it cycle through.

Being a painter and seeing you use a 8 inch roller i feel your pain 🤣 an 18 inch roller would of had that done in seconds
