@@felipesadventuresI would give that to Hunt’s death in The Final Destination. Organs being pulled out of your ass as you simultaneously drown. Terrible movie, but they managed to get one (two if you include the escalator from the premonition) extremely effective death scene in there, I’ll give them that

For me the tanning bed death is by far the worst death in the franchise, the combo of extreme claustrophobia and slowly being burned alive... yeah that scene is scarred in my memory from when I watched it as a kid lol

Agreed 100% that's still so scarring to this day. One of the reasons I've never been to a tanning bed. I watched it young enough to never let me wanna experience something as normal as going to a tanning bed even at the age of 28 😂

I remember being at my local cinema went I was younger and I walked by a theater playing FD3. Idk what scene it was, but I remember seeing two girls walk out, one of whom was crying. I'd like to think the tanning bed scene is what made them leave, because it's just so upsetting. For a franchise that's about fun and ridiculous deaths, that scene feels actually kinda cruel along with the nail gun death later on.
@eliben4066
@eliben4066 Жыл бұрын
It’s one of the more conceptually funny deaths, a blonde and a brunette get tanned to death. But if you think about it, it’s horrifying. Especially considering that for two idiots, they were pretty kind. They didn’t deserve to be cremated alive

@@eliben4066 100%! At first, I was thinking the movie was being the tyical 00's flick that made fun of super feminine "bimbo" girls, but between him, the creep with the camera, the rude goths, and the aggro jock, I guess FD3 kinda just made annoying stereotypes to kill off (though those girls were the nicest of them all).

Thank you about Frankie! I knew a Frankie named Zach. He carried a camera all over college campus obviously filming women's chests or up skirts, proclaiming his rights to free expression. He came to a friend's house uninvited, my friend couldn't stand up to anyone and wouldn't ask him to leave, and when I told him not to point his camera at me he started more purposely pointing at me and chased me, cornering me, asking me "why don't you want to be filmed, you're pretty enough". It's truly horrifying being harassed like that and when no one even puts a creep like that in their place a little.

I looove this movie. Doesn't try to be some complex think piece, but also doesn't give up on making you care about the characters. Over the top side characters, that I love to laugh at, and over-the-top death scenes, which are a lot of fun, and some are disgusting. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a darling. This, Death Proof and Black Christmas, what a fucking trinity. Ps. The locations for this movie are so sleek. The architecture and sticks surrounding. Reminds me of the Scream franchise.

I have followed Mary Elizabeth Winstead after I saw her in this movie back in 2006 because I was mesmerized by her beauty. She has multiple movies back to back and is very easy on the eye as she is with her acting skills, she could have risen to fame earlier in her career but at the time she has no plans in starring in a bigger budget movie and wanted to do more in the Indie films as you can see with her filmography but not until she met her now husband Ewan McGregor. She has starred in bigger budget movies and are also crappy ones.

As I recall this movie actually screwed itself in the opening scene. They made it clear that the reason the roller coaster derailed because one of the characters dropped his camera on the track, but he didn't get on the ride so how did it derail? Isn't this also the one where the deaths are so Rube Goldbergian that it crosses into eye rolling silliness?

One thing I liked about this installment were the pictures and the clues they find in them. That was a nice twist. The first movie was really fantastic. There's a real grief and emotionality to the whole story. The sequels are pretty much simply using the formula as a vehicle to kill people in ever increasing creative and gory ways. I still enjoy them for what they are. I do appreciate that there isn't some guy chasing people around with a knife. That's what intrigued me about this series to begin with. The fake outs are great, too. It brings a giddy fun to the party. A definite guilty pleasure.

The scariest part of this movie is the choose-your-own-adventure version only lets you save Frankie, which leads to him getting arrested for sexually harassing an undercover cop, which he films on his camcorder before she takes him to the station. I love this entire franchise, but 2 is easily my favorite due to it's campy comedic tone and absurd deaths, but then there's that one in the middle that's so sad that it's jarring in the elevator. 5 is the least enjoyable for me, it's very gory, wince-inducing workplace torture scenarios basically, but then shifts into a weird slasher near the end? The ending I already knew going in, so I came out the other end a tad disappointed that this was the critically acclaimed one. Excited for 6 to come out, it follows paramedics.

This was my first introduction into the franchise. Got it from Hollywood video and watched it with my family as a kid. Was terrified, but absolutely loved it! We went back and watched the first two. Three was definitely our favorite. 4th one was definitely the worst… lol

How is it possible that Chris and myself have the same fear of getting away from a moving truck on the freeway. Regardless if it’s carrying logs or not, I ALWAYS get out the way after having seen Final Destination 2

Final destination 2 is my favorite in the franchise but I will say 3 is the most underrated one.

So glad you mentioned the SpongeBob line, I quote it often as it's so funny to imagine someone not knowing SpongeBob is underwater haha.

This movie was my first official legally allowed to get in the theater R rated movie. Good times. It''s definitely better than 2 but it's a close call with the first one

They complained about the ending at the premiere, when they asked the audience their thoughts of the movie and any feedback The feedback was they didn’t like that they survived the film. So they killed them off So hopefully that changes your perspective, I don’t like that they killed off Wendy as well but hey 🤷🏾‍♂️ it’s a good kill scene I can’t lie. Ps: I love that you have final destination 3 next to my favorite horror movie franchise of all time 😂 I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SCREAM , SCREAM 4 & FINAL DESTINATION 3 ❤ Saw fD3 as a 9 year old , saw scream as a 7 year old , I actually watched fD2 in theaters when I was 8 so yes , haha okay thank you for the review!

Despite the schlock, I think of this series of movies a lot. It's left an impression. Can't think of many other films, much less thrillers, I can say the same about.

I always wanted a Final Destination film where they explored WHERE the visions came from and why these specific people are having them.

I was pretty obsessed with this franchise. Idk if it was already explained. But the original ending was after the fair. So all the three characters live. But a focus group didn’t like that so they did a reshoot in the subway.

Yeah, the ending was kind of weak in this one, but I've always loved the "Choose Their Fate" feature on the DVD! What a unique way to explore deleted scenes & it's strange they didn't have anything else like this on the other movies. It's also unfortunate that they didn't do the feature on the Blu-Ray of the movie. Glad I own the DVD!

I’m just glad they didn’t end the movie where the train crashes and the 3 remaining characters die those gruesome deaths.

I really enjoyed your review on this one, this was my fave of the original trilogy mainly because of MEW (who, as you say, was a standout and highlight). I think when you get to a third movie in a franchise you usually see quality dipping and it being tacky or whatever, particularly in horror films, BUT, I think MEW actually makes this movie work, I think if it wasn’t her as the lead it would have been forgotten about so quickly and the franchise left behind
