As of 1/24/24 for Sam's quests I followed this path: Sam's question on Tifa: Fighter Sam's question on coin: Heads Madam M Massage: 100gil Won the Colosseum Made my way to Madam M Spoke to Johnny Said YES to Johnny's question Spoke to Madam M who tells she put a good word with Sam Return to Sam Sam will issue quests and you will get a notification that his quests have been acquired

You have to talk to all three of them. For her mission by the most expensive one.

I've literally did the same things and got the opposite results. Starting to think it's just luck of the draw. The only thing i did that wasn't mentioned here is that i drank that energy drink corneo offered. Could be of note.

Yeah... this and all the other guides are wrong. THIS IS COMPLETELY RANDOM EVEN IF YOU DO "EVERYTHING" CORRECTLY. I need to get Cloud's Manuscript X, which is a hard mode Sam side quest. Did EVERYTHING recommended here and elsewhere: The girl we're looking for... She's in great shape. Sam +1 Hotel Employee ...No thanks. Sam +1 Discovery Quest Vagabond Johnny Yeah Sam +1 Sam's Coin Flip Heads Sam +1.5 Madam M's Massage 100G - (neutral) How is Aerith's outfit? It's alright. Sam +1 Mystery Drink in the Underground Arena I'll taste it. Sam +1 ... And STILL got Madame M's quests after defeating the Hell House (and overwriting my save after, since I was assured by all these guides that my choices were perfectly all + Sam and against Madame M. So now I get o restart Ch 9 Hard Mode from scratch and waste minimum another 2 hours to just get RNG screwed again... What a waste of time RNG game design to hide Manuscript X behind side quests you can't get even get to except by luck, and it takes beating the entire arena to find out that you AGAIN got screwed after making all the "correct" choices for Sam

I decided heads on the coin toss and still got Madam M's. Not 100% that coin toss makes any difference

Saying no to Johnny and Tifa is great a book seem to be the ones that opens madam m quest. Johnny hangs with you during all of chocobo sam quest so he's obviously an important part on whether you get madam or sam quest
