One other tip I struggled with was completing the intel for the Thunderclaw, the intel wants you to pressure it but upon assessment it has 0 detrimental status effects, but because it is a biological enemy the Bio materia will pressure it on explosion

This is why I'm waiting for a pc release, and thr inevitable "re release with cut content", otherwise known as intergrade. There is zero point to picking it up immediately on a console that can't hit 60 fps. Just like there was zero reason to grind all the materia, or go for the gadderandangidunger. In some parts i get it, but it was your choice to give the game the hobbit trilogy treatment, instead of make a game, over a cash grab. It's stupid.

Couple corrections. Every area objective is a fast travel point when completed. Resources respawn so don't stress about having maxed out. Not all atb skills give synergy points, the 0 MP cost from party skills do not give synergy points.

I've had Remake since last year on Steam when it got discounted to 40 for a short while right before XVI came out I should have finished it by now but the last chapters really are a slog. In the meanwhile I've platinumed XVI in a month and bought dozens of other games. I held off on finishing Remake until now. Rebirth seems to address my biggest issue with Remake which is the extreme linearity. Air combat looks a lot more fun too.

By the way, you mentioned that towers act as a fast travel locations. In fact ALL of the the destinations or places of interest can act as fast travel locations. If you need to go somewhere fast (for a sidequest for example) just hover over all the nearby destination icons and check whether you can teleport there, not sure if there are some restrictions, but most of the time, you can fast travel almost anywhere in the world.

Weapon abilities unlock from doing the requisite in the proficiency under the weapon description ie. break an enemy, kill an enemy with this move etc. not from gaining leveling up the weapon. U may have by chance done this but I can unlock the skill the first time u use it if I know what u need to accomplish to do so.

weapon abilities unlock from equipping the weapon and then permanently unlock from using them multiple times, its the same as remake in that reguard, they have a little experience bar from using the abilities over and over again in the materia and equipment menu. I dont know what your talking about.

IIRC you only need to do the first part of the demo!

As above has stated only the Flashback part needs to be completed. You will find dlc/bonuses within the game menu and it will search your save file and give you the items. If you have a save file for Remake and INTERmission you will receive Leviathan and Ramuh Summon materia too. You will play part of the Flashback again until you encounter your first fight while climbing the mountains. It will then ask if you want to skip. I did, however I strongly advise against it. I thought the items would carry over from the demo and they unfortunately didn't. During the Mountain climbing there is a powerful Comet Materia that you can pick up. If you skip you won't get it until much later in the game.

I would have had to load up my PS4 and upload the save file for it to pick up on the PS5. As Intergrade was free with the Twin Pack digitally I just went with that. Installed Intergrade, launched Remake and skipped everything until it saved. Did the same with INTERmission just to collect the bonuses within Rebirth.

This game is pretty unbelievable. I don’t know how they’ve done it. One thing i’m not a major fan of is the fort condor mini game though. The actual gameplay is great but the time limits on that are just too strict. Needs atleast 1-2 extra minutes.

I really enjoyed the fort condor mini game in both intermission dlc for yuffie in remake and the one in rebirth, i feel you the time limit in rebirth and the fact its just a bit harder then the yuffie dlc one is a little unforgiven but i found ways to cheese it, the one i didnt quite understand and looked a guide for was the one in cosmo canyon area with the robots, that was just something i didnt have the patients to try every comboniation.

PSA You only get transmutation xp the first time u make an item only. U gain no xp for remaking any item as far as I know. Still use up those items so I don’t max out but making a million potions won’t raise your transmutation lvl to max or anything like that

Oh theres a hidden boss in the grasslands that gets unlocked after you start up i think it was 4 out of 6 of those radar towers in the grasslands. called the qeuxicotly(that boss from ff viii lol). then after beating that boss in the overwork you unlock a challenge to fight it in chadleys simulation and the reward is a materia that gives an electric shock every time you fill your atb 1 bar(completely passive damage). also i haven't done this myself... just heard about it on another video so some details arent fully accurate.

If it's a digital preorder then it will automatically be equipped on one of your characters. For digital it is the Moogle Trio Summon materia and Barret had it equipped for me. For physical you get Midgar Bangle MKII which will also be equipped.

Odin Bahammut Asended and Alexander, Odin will either instant kill large groups of enimies which is helpful for like one quest if you play it right on hard mode, or hell use his spear doing 9999 just like the other 2 most likely. Gilgamesh is a secret summon be he has 2 moves that are random, either one where he hits all enimies for physical damage doing a big burst but rarely does 9999 and 1% of the time he will hit all enimies for 1 damage, ive only seen it happen once and ive been called a liar about it cause its rare.

The bosses are tough, I've died many times, some have taken 12 or 15 tries. Bosses won't even let you get off an item, as soon as you take the lead, they are on you.

I agree. I can't get the Phoenix summon cause nothing I do realy damages it. I use ice materia n abilities n I barely leave a scratch. Mind u I'm level 25 and trying it on the 2nd easiet since it won't even let me get to the last divine intell location because the area is blocked off and I dont kno what to do to let the 2 guards allow me to enter.

While I don't know for sure id assume it's a thunder materia paired with some specific blue materia I can't remember from the original ff7 that adds the effect to the weapon or would give resistance if paired in the armor.

My favorite thing about this game is that absolutely none of this stuff is necessary to beat the game. I skipped 90% of the side content and still clocked a 66 hour first playthrough on Dynamic difficulty. While most of the bosses were challenging and fun, none of them presented any particular struggle without all of the bonus items and materia you get from all this side content. And if you're playing on Normal or Easy I would absolutely recommend NOT doing all this stuff, because you'll become so OP as to trivialize every challenge the game presents.

the game is easy even on the dynamic difficulty, side a few fights that might take more then one attempt, then hard mode comes at you, and one of the grasslands quests might take you for a loop even if you go in fully prepared, theres this grass type enimie about 15 of them give or take and on hard mode they machine gun your party down in less then 3 seconds, theres easy ways to cheese it but i found that to be the crowning fight of hard mode.

I wanted to play though the Halo, Fable, Gears of War and Forza Franchise so for me this was the perfect option. I love both consoles but I do spend more time on My PS5. Especially with Helldivers 2 and now this!
