That really gives hope for rebirth. Awesome visuals with a tight 60fps frametime. Square Enix offically mentioed that the team is working hard to have the game optimized for the steam deck when it comes out. And I am kinda optimisitc about it

No way will it be 60fps, Rebirth is more demanding than Remake.

I think the furthers you could hope for is 40FPS on Deck for Rebirth. Rebirth was already a blurry mess on base PS5, so yeah. I would temper expectations

Rebirth is a PS5 game, Remake was a PS4 game, it will struggle hard on Deck better get an Ally

Does the game ever even hit 80-90 fps? Would it be better to lock it down to 60 fps?

Optimal would be to lock it down to 45fps, It'll look like it's 90 and will help with the battery lasting longer.

I have my doubts. Being a lot more open, it’ll be heavier on the CPU, which is often where the steam deck lacks. But we’ll know soon since they officially announced the PC release for early next year.
