Then you get cool stuff in other games like how in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, running the records of this fight, trying to use your Odin summon against him will result in him counter-attacking with Zantetsuken-Reverse and wiping your own party out.

Honestly when this first happened to me I was just like "Okay..." Since I assumed it wasn't going to work but also thought it might since Seifer was just human. I was surprised however that Seifer did kill Odin and was expecting a tough fight after that but was disappointed :(. Still one of the best FF moments though in my opinion regardless.

When i first did this fight i was like your screwed no Siefer then Odin dies and im like oh no, and then you get weak ass gilgamesh. Never could understand why the downgrade

To be fair, Gilgamesh not only can appear during bosses, but also appear at any time during the fight. While yes, he can use Excalipoor and be a waste, Excalibur, Masamune, and *especially* Zantetsuken can be really good. If a boss is immune to instant death, then Gilgamesh can still do massive damage with Excalibur and Masamune.

Even though this scene can picked on a lot of things you can't deny the message they were going for. Seifers clothes are all ragged torn and dirty but his mind is clearer than ever after his friends told him to wake up. So what does he do when a literal being known for one hit killing tries to interrupt his match with his rival? He performs said one hit kill technique flawlessly

First time I saw this battle, I was like "Wait, Odin can proc on this boss? Alright, free win, mess him up Odin!" .... Imagine the shock when I saw Seifer *kill Odin* instead. Also, fun fact, in the Japanese version, Gilgamesh comes very close to namedropping Bartz, before realizing that it's not him, implying that, once again, this is that same Gilgamesh from V.

No. Odin's dead. He only appears in Disk 4 if you didn't get him before the Seifer fight.

Yeah, if you get him before this fight then he is replaced by Gilgamesh for the rest of the game, but if you didn't get him, the you can find him at some point on disk 4.

Did anyone else read the lines in the KH2 voices? That would be hilarious if Squall and Seifer had a Struggle Battle. I bet this is why Seifer, Fujin, and Raijin moved to Twilight Town. Why did Seifer give the trophy to Goofy of all people? I did all the work during that Nobody fight, so the trophy should go to me. And then Hayner, Pence, Olette, and Roxas show up for no reason.

You do realize that Odin can't appear in boss battles, whilst Gilgamesh can, right? Anyway, yes, you can, as long as you can reach the Centra Ruins, which you probably will need the Ragnarok for.

Odin tried to do zantensuken which would have instantly killed seifer but seifer did a zantensuken reflect move which made odin in a sense kill himself

interestingly enough, this could be taken another way. According to FF4 lore, Odin has only ever lost 1 duel because lightning hit his sword during it. We do see his sword fly off, so maybe this was their interpretation of that duel. As for who killed who, it's 2 men running at each other with swords... I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that seifer killed odin, not odin killed odin.
