I'm a big FF7 fan so I was really happy with seeing Cloud/Tifa kiss.. but that is only if you pick the romantic scenes with Tifa and go on a date, so you can easily pick romantic scenes with aerith (they don't kiss in the date but it was still intimate). SE tried to please all the fans, so fans and actually made a huge stance to explain that Cloud hasnt made a choice and that gamers make the choice so its personalised. But by doing this they diluted the romance in FF7... but Yuna and Tidus, man... that was some kiss.. so much chemistry and you know they're meant to be together. ITS PART OF THE MAIN STORY LINE and its not some option. The whole scene was beautiful, the CGI was so well done it felt like they were in space at some point.

No it's not. The author himself told that Cloud loves both Aerith and Tifa so Clerith is canon two. That's the magic of this game and story. It clearly up to you. She didn't want him to fall in love with her because she didn't want him to suffer when she is gone.

I don’t want that something like “The Highwind” scene that may occur or be adapted and altered in Part 3 be seen as a source for laughs for it being the “sex scene” of FF7, since kiss scenes that were shown here are meant to more or less be the emotional climax of the romance development that ties the relationship arc of the pairs.

You know what was my "I see the progression" thought while making the comp? Seeing Tidus and Yuna, the almost first CGI scene of a kiss going ALL IN on each other's faces, while every later iteration they realize that they would make the scenes in a way it pans out when the kiss happens (or the hair covers it) so it can look nice and not awkward as many 3D kisses can be with all the head movement etc is pretty funny ps. let's go Cloud and Tifa! You did it!

I've loved Cloud and Tifa since the Advent Children days, it was rough man we didn't get hugs or kisses 😂 just some very ambiguous living together. I thought the hug in remake was everything I ever dreamed of (despite Cloud being a little awkward lol) but kissing?????? in part 2????? a Cloud initiated kiss???🤯the devs were not lying when they said they wanted to develop Cloud and Tifa more. The kiss is great but I also can't get over Sephiroth taunting Cloud with Tifa not being real, that Jenova can become those you fear or love and when Cloud repeats Seph's words he say's love first 😳In seph's messed up gaslighting, making Cloud believe Jenova has took the likeness of Tifa because he loves her (not shocking to anyone who knows the story of Cloud 😂)

All around amazing decisions to make a build up even more gratifying than coming up with the reveals all at once in part 3 "out of nowhere" for the nature of being different games. Bringing things early and focusing on it a lot and in a beautiful way is such a cool decision for the sad parts at the Crater and the amazing ones at the lifestream/Mideel, very satisfying to see. I clearly didn't expect any of that during part 2 in theory either

FFXV will always sit so good with me as it was my first Final Fantasy to open me to explore the series getting into and completing FF7, FF8, FFX, and FFXVI, but more importantly FFXV the story of trying to always go on and make it to your bride just for the most unexpected plot twist and to see that ending kiss and reunion was huge and impactful especially with the main FF theme playing and the picked out picture for the finale

Yeah, while comparing, FF kisses carry quite a lot of emotion, some farewells, some emotional melancholic ones like Serah's and Yuna's situation. Meanwhile the new addition just living the best life at the Gondola (BUT, I always loved to call the post-gold saucer event of FF7 "The downward spiral of the game", so after the kiss, all the bad things happen for quite a while lmao).

Jill and Clive had the least interesting romance in my opinion......we don't actually get to ser any of them "growing up" together, nothing really even that shows why they like each other.....it felt kinda forced in as if BECAUSE Clive was the MC and BECAUSE Jill was the only female MC they HAD to be together All other romances before them you actually got to see that romance build, it was a natural journey to witness but with Clive and Jill it was.....just not there In fact it seemed even almost unnatural because Jill and Clive come off as siblings for most of the game and by the time the romance comes around it just feels....wrong. She was raised alongside him almost as a sister, afterall, and without seeing that relationship at the very start it just is hard to view her as anything romantic for Clive once it DOES happen and feels forced for the end game.... In terms of best written romances I would give it to Squall and Rinoa or the Tifa/Cloud/Aerith triangle because both groups handled their romances not only very well but the most realistically

Dissidia Opera Omnia unfortunately had its server shut down recently, but one of the best things this mobile did was explore more the relationships between canon Final Fantasy couples... Noctis and Luna was what stood out to me the most as it was my first Final Fantasy, I love these two, I even bought the book and saw how Luna could have been such an incredible character, unfortunately Square didn't want to do that... But after playing DFFOO I saw how much Noctis and Luna's relationship was very In addition to what the original game shows, it's a shame that now that it's been shutting down, some fans can't see relationships like Tidus and Yuna's with their late parents being explored as well...
