Is it just me, or does this sound more powerful than the SNES version?

Better than the original. Squeenix should hire you for the HD-2D remake that is inevitably coming. Absolutely incredible.

Not to dismiss his amazing work, but by "simple" he means VRC6+2A03 only, rather than something like 2A03+VRC6+FDS+Namcot 163+Sunsoft 5B.

the song that introduced many to the impressive audio power of the snes; ff4, though far from the deepest final fantasy game (even compared to its predecessors at the time), was truly a showcase of the audio/visual strength of the console back at the time of its release, and this was the first song you heard when you started a new game. And here, ladies and gentlemen, is an even more aurally impressive version of the same song on the NES (well, kind of). Something kinda poetic about that.

This is an absolute joy to listen to, splendid job, you nailed what made the original so great when you booted up FF4.

Any part of Dancing Mad or Terra's theme would be amazing. Or Open y=Your Heart. Or personally as a preference request the extended album version of Make A Wish from MLP:FIM.

Amazing cover sounds really good in 8bit! I'm making an rpg game that will be released early next year and need someone to create the music needed. I'm wondering if you their are any forums online where artists like you would meet developers like me.

The short pulses (6.25 and 12.5) make very good trumpets.

check the attached FTM in the description. it's the same technique as my chrono trigger boss battle 2 FTM, sharp fade in on vrc6 squares with their duty cycles at v00. this is easily drowned out so you need to compensate by reducing the volume of everything else/mixing properly. similar: Famitracker - Chrono Trigger - Boss Battle 2 (VRC6 8-bit mix) also, my fcm10 entry, Majestic Motherfuckin' Castle
