Vivi's magic was different as he was an enemy entity during the fight with him trapped in the creature, so being an enemy entity his Rando script was different to his party script

Yea, I believe Vivi (Captured) is a different character than Vivi (Party), so the Fire spell would be a separate "spell" and thus randomized to something different.

I assume the reason why Vivi cast Blizzarra in the plant fight was because, in that fight, he is classified and coded as enemy team (aka not player controlled). Knowing what I do about programming, I believe that abilities are codded separately between those that are enemy team and those that are player controlled. So, if my theory on that is correct, then Fire for an enemy could be one spell and Fire cast by the party would be a different spell, because the randomizer randomized everything individually, because the abilities are coded individually.

the abilities seem to be randomised on a per fight basis aswell, big plant brain using thunder is 1 attack the little plant soldiers thunder is something else entirely

@@jancojicanoder agreed, it's per enemy. The skills are still called the same thing they would be in a normal battle outside the randomizer, but the enemies have the skills they use randomized. Vivi outside of party is enemy called Vivi, and so will have its skills randomized like all enemies. Vivi in party is randomized like party member, and so skills will be randomized with all party members. Eiko and Dagger casting cure spell should have the same exact effect, because the skill itself will be randomized. Two enemies using the same spell get different results because it isn't the spell being randomized as much as it is the monster. Two Grand Dragons, provided there isn't a story battle that I forget which made a Grand Dragon a boss, will have the same set of skills regardless of whether it is the same battle or a different one, but two different enemies using the same name of a skill will have different results.

Once you start a game, the randomiser is already set so nothing will change. So attacks won’t change any more, abilities won’t change. This goes for FF8 too, it’s set in stone once the randomiser has set it and the ability cannot become something else unless you run the randomiser on it again.

Vivi in your party and Vivi captured by the boss are likely coded separately, so they probably have different skill pools, resulting in different attacks during that part.

I'm guessing that when vivi casts fire in that boss fight it's technically a different spell than the one he has in party. Thus why it was different than when you got float

@@Primalliquid92 its possible the spell pools aren't restricted to just spells, it could swap techs as well? There's a SLEW of monster only spells and techs. The "quake" the boss uses could've been blue magic "earth shake" or even the hill gigas' "earthquake"

From the looks of it (and some serious googling ) it's the animation for blaster that the torama use. But it does damage instead of inflicting stop. But the damage number shows up as the camera switches so you don't see it pop up unless you look carefully.

Vivi is the same character in kingdom hearts, at the beginning, where the shadow comes alive from Sora. If you look at the picture of the queen in the castle, it's Quina holding Vivi. You can see the chef hat. Eiko and dagger are the same person. Zidane is Vivi. Steiner and armrant are the same person. Quina and Freya are the same person. It's about the royal family of Aotearoa. Steiner is just a acting father, which is why him and Vivi have a special talent together. The world was dying, so a genetic experiment occured, and made the only person who wasn't half-caste. Their job was to act as doctor.

It doesn't look to me like abilities change every time, actually. I think that was a completely different Vivi programmed specifically for that boss fight, which is why his fire did blizzara instead of the freeze/float/virus effect.

Vivis fire turned to blizzard fuel to the fact he was a enemy instead of a party member so his abilities were randomized during that Fight for example using cure from garnet wont do the same thing as eiko
