Final Fantasy IX - Song of Memories on a music box

A friend of mine made this FF9-themed music box from scratch as a Christmas gift - you can glimpse the engraved drawing on the lid at the end of the video. I just chipped in by arranging the song she wanted for the music box so she could have fun doing the hole punching ;) This is their post-Christmas footage of the result.
Final Fantasy games always have beautiful scores (Nobuo Uematsu ❤). I love this tune even though I never played FF9 myself, it has a very FF-ey feeling to it - when I listened to it the first time, my first thought actually was "Hey, that sounds like the title-screen music from a Final Fantasy game..." 😁 It arranged very naturally, almost like it was made to be played a music box. I really like how it turned out, the result does not sound very far from the original.
