The only thing I’d argue is that the Delita and Ovelia extra scenes maybe shouldn’t all have involved battles, especially against so-called “assassins” that Ovelia can literally whack a mole to death with her tree branch weapon 😂 Coulda been more romantic scenes imo, think Squall+Rinoa or Tidus+Yuna type scenes

Scenes and battles like this help clear up the story in FFT and makes things less awkward. He had no real introduction in the Ps1 release

Two things to note about this fight: 1. The Black Mage here is using a Wizard's Staff. A weapon that the class shouldn't be able to equip under normal circumstances. She's using hacks but is doing it the wrong way lol 2. Cletienne's sprite does *NOT* have a shadow underneath him

It is interesting for some of these. Like Delita having Save the Queen in the second fight where you control him and Gaffgarion being able to equip knight swords in Rendezvous no idea what is up lol

Folmarv/Vormav is my favorite Final Fantasy villain of all time, and I'm a big fan of his goon squad, the Knights Templar. I don't think Folmarv was "possessed" by the Lucavi. I think he willingly embraced it because he was truly evil on his own accord, the way Wiegraf embraced the Lucavi in all of his hatred and suffering and ended up basking in it for power. The Lucavi acts on the intentions of its user, as shown by Rafa when her brother faced death. This is what makes Vormav a brilliant villain. He was cunning, cold, powerful in his own regard before factoring in the Lucavi and willingly sought out its power for personal gain. The rest of the Knights Templar outside of Wiegraf deserved more screen time, lore, and explanation I to their motives. Final Fantasy tactics is rich in world building and an amazing over arching story and if they ever re-do this game again, I hope they do more side battles like this and other optional scenarios that dive deeper into other characters, including mid-battle dialogue.

He is so overlooked and was cunning and mysterious. I just wish he had a better send off or ending I feel. I also read supposedly there was going to be a 1vs1 against him too but was taken out.

In an ideal game they’d go more Tactics Ogre style and give you more choices in general with different story paths. Ramza could’ve helped Gaffgarion kill Delita, Ovelia and Agrias, which could’ve branched to a Dycedarg path of the Beoulves ruling Ivalice. If the game played out as it normally does, Ramza could’ve taken Wiegraf’s offer to “cut out the filth” or whatever and become a Knight Templar and have a Folmarv + Lucavi (maybe including himself) path. That’s the one thing Tactics Ogre LUCT / Reborn does better, all these branching paths with a time travel mechanic at end game (called CODA) to explore different paths and get all the potential units and items 😊

Wish we could use sorcerer as a job tho. Like different elemental magic spells but mostly focusing on dark. I’d imagine the requirements are level 6 blackmage level 4 time level 2 arith

Are there any Move-Find/Treasure Hunter tiles on this map different than the Chapter 2 version? I couldn't find any online resources with anyone who checked every tile.

I never tried it myself but I do believe its the same and nothing that worth while to get.

Now they just a need to add a way to interact with recruited units. We just don't get any connection with them after their events. Meliadoul is one of the last to at least speak few battles before ending.

@@J7Jase My idea is like having a conversation with them in the roster page. An option to talk. When I got Agrias' birthday event, it actually surprised me. But having an option to converse to units would help, like if I keep one of the original female knight, she'd tell players a clue that an event can trigger somewhere related to Agrias. So it's nothing big or game breaking. Giving an option to date a unit I guess would break it. Like in Thousand Arms. Hahahaha~

this battle is missable if you reach Eagros castle via Riovanes Castle > Fort Ziekden and not through Merchant City of Dorter.

Yes but you have to intentionally try to skip it so the vast majority of this time people will see it

I want squarenix to make a expanded version. I want same graphics, but the full zodiac brave story to be played out.

@J7Jase look into the creator's vision of the game. The story we got was great... but it is much deeper.. there was conflict between square and the creator of the game resulting in a rushed partially complete story.

@J7Jase I'm an former member of ffhactics. Also I have made blue mage fully functional. Expanded monster pool. Rebalenced the formulas for monster attacks and their stats. Had to do the last part so blue magic wasn't Weak, but the monsters are about the same strength.
