My favorite YYT quote of 2024: "Do I know what my opponent is against?"21:53 ... I certainly hope so

My favorite card in VI is The Demon, and i'm surprised to not see it here, even just as a 1 of its so good in a ton of situations

It was considered, but I think the meta needs to settle a little before we know what Job-centric decks will exist for The Demon to prey on. Definitely viable, though.

Not only Demon, who nowadays is as important as BZ control but also Fiend. In general having FF6 water and not playing Fiend is rather bizarre choice.

Yes! Finally! This deck looked like a blast

Super fun, and very powerful! I think Relm will grow a lot, too, as more Monsters are printed.

@@YunaYoungTeam Do we not have enough monsters already to choose from? Waiting for some perfect FF6-Relm-monster is rather wishful thinking.

Another interesting monster option that can be fairly flexible in the singleton Ice monster spot is Wicked Mask. A back attack monster in Ice that redirects targeted summons on your board or even alters recursion targets for Cu Sith or Leviathan could be fairly huge in the right situation. And it turns Nelapa into even more of a problem for the opponent, as they have to weigh the value of the summon against everything that can turn it around.

I do like Wicked Mask a lot, and I've actually played it more this set than ever before. But it's a bit of an anti-synergy with Relm, when she only brings things in at character-speed. Also considered Krysta, at a similar cost.

I understand this deck did well in your online tournament, but it needs a lot of tweaking. How would it deal with Yuzuki (that seems to be everywhere) for instance? Answer: Emperor Gesahl, that is missing. Secondary answer: Unicorn Summon with Terra Backup. If your only plan for damage protection forwards (very common nowadays) is to hoard 4 FF6 characters to trigger Locke, then it is not reliable deck. Why play Umaro backup when having older Gogo? The BZ jumping one can enable 2 hit combo with that Gogo and is technically always available. What is more, playing completely useless Backups only because the category fits smells like draft. EX Strago will do so much more for the consistency of the deck. Friend has got a terrific idea to rely completly on Cyan (and maybe Mog) when casting Relm. You free so much space that way, increase EX number and can add actually useful cards.
