I honestly could never beat the gil turtle, the health it has is just absurd! and at the point and level you encounter it in the game is just insane

Which abilities did you give your characters for Omega? That was kind of important to show, y’know

Pretty sure Bartz is using Dual Wield, Magic Sword, and Rapid Fire. That's the real important part of an anti-Omega build, to put Thundaga (Bolt3) on the attack then hit multiple times with it. Plus going as Freelancer means he can equip the most powerful swords. Everything else is just survival (eg Summon for Golem, White Magic for Cure3, etc).

I’m pretty sure it’s just magic sword and rapid fire, freelancers and mimes get all learned abilities for the character who equips the job, and I’m assuming they mastered ninja for the dual wield

Didn't Shinryu had Flare or something like that? i remember that I had to equip some with coral and the others with fire immunity? i had not played rhis game in 10 years

Damn lol I had no idea how much the pixel remaster improved this game, menus (lord knows blue magic without a guide let alone getting the spells lol) , music, graphics (2:50 lame tidal wave), Bartz instead of Butz lol. They also didn't nerf/take away any stuff outside postgame which was great. Never thought I'd like it more than FF6 but comparing this battle in the original I see how as it's as vast an improvement as the first FFT remake.

To be fair this translation wasn't official as this was dished out quickly by fans when the emulation scene exploded but yeah

@@LedYouAshtray I get you, like how trials of mana in collection of mana was the official translation, which helps (the remake was pretty bad between mo multiplayer and the english elmer fudd charlotte and angela eek jumping), same with front mission 2 when it gets remade in 2023.
