i had a black mage attacking with blizzaga and a chemist throwing some dragon fang + potions on him for level + 20. the blizzaga was hitting around in the low 5000's each time and the fight was over alot quicker

Whoever at Square looked at this boss and just said "this is fine!" needs to stub his toe on a coffee table at 2 am. Equipping the gold hairpin if you have picked that up does wonders on your summoner.

this was a huge help thanks ive been looking for a better strat to farming the gil turtle then dragons power spamming bard and this is by far the fastest method without mastering many classes lol i do and would throw in mix on one of my other characters for half elixirs so i dont waste normal elixirs after all only reason im farming this thing like i always do is for the money for elixirs and the phantom village accessories in world 3 since theres really no good play to farm gil in world 3 lol

I spent 15 minutes at level 32 fighting this thing, kill it, take 1 step and he shows back up after I changed my classes back when I thought he wouldn't unless you leave the room. I'm playing the SNES version and on that one you can't use Golem again until the first one is gone.

Huh, so the Gil Turtle is vulnerable to level 3 Flare. Didn't know that.

A bard with max lvl summoning ability or summoner with sing (the idea is to get the singer's magic power as high as possible.

Gil turtle is weak against ice attacks if you use the strongest I spell it’s 3000 damage per hit

I just did this at level 33. (Float! )Triple Knight -> Guard. BLM/SMN -> Golem ->Blizzaga. Mind golems recast. Then auto battle until he is dead. Boom. P.S. I’m pretty hardcore.

I jusy made everyone Samuri with diamond shield, and recover ability. Also one person has summon to cast golem. Have 3 of them cast zeinage and one cast golem and he'll never hit anyone

I used Gil toss at LV 45 it did NO damage at all to Gil Turtle.

if not fir the final earthquake, could damage be prevented with the Knight Guard and three critical characters? Or would they all die before the Guard was started?

But why not waiting till Moore is available? SpellBladeBlizzaga+Haste+Beserk+Dualhand+Elemntal Power+SamsonPower = 6k Dmg. Requiem is not bad But not The Best. Golem is vital and quite missable while also all The Evasion Equipments are a HUGE help. The Point of this fight is to Deal as much damage in few hits possible to avoid turtle countering too much and breaking down Golem Wall.

I used it too just after obtaining Golem and Requiem. However it's unnecessary hard and time consuming but it's a fun challange ideed.

Golem is one of many methods. After awhile, you can learn to beat Gil Turtle without Golem dependency. I also want to point out that even Golem was not a good strat during the Steam iteration of FFV PR. This was due to an issue in the game where Golem could shield the physical attacks/counters of Gil Turtle but NOT the status ailments.

I was wondering if Magic hammer could be used in preventing him from casting earthquake as his final attack destroys my party? I don't have access to the float spell yet as I've only just arrived in world two.

Hadn’t considered it as I just slapped float. Shouldn’t be too hard to grab it from Surgate Castle, I believe.

There’s a dice roll for every step inside the special room.
