Honestly the remake needs a parody (a real one) aswell. Like mentioning the fact that you can sit on a bench to restore all your HP and MP while your team just stares at you sitting on the bench (but they get their HP/MP restored too... Somehow), or when the nerd studying Materia appears randomly (even inside the Lifestream) like the Photographer in Earthbound, or when Barret sings the victory fanfare because it wasn't included in the game, or the fact that Yuffie finally gets in the team for a DLC (which nobody wants to buy since they're fed up of Electronic Arts selling DLCs for every EA Sports letter, so it's the same marginal character of the OG) or random NPCs appearing to make the game 1000 times longer, at the point you'd be worrying if Sephiroth sent them to slow you down... Lots of elements to make a parody. Or even, when Cloud asks Tifa about the money 💰
