I was just gonna say the same thing. I've never played the original game so I assumed it was programmed so the Super Nova attack would trigger simultaneously as that part of the music; I only found out that was not the case when I watched some other video of the same boss fight.

I think the main reason I come back to this old video is the timing of the music and the actions of the characters is just too perfect, case in point when super nova is active it matches the song to what is happening on screen.

I played through this game in high school. My mom would always have me turn up the volume for boss battles, and both of my parents watched me finish Sephiroth. The graphics and music were amazing for the time period, they liked it. My mom also liked watching me play Wing Commander 3;)

Every though there's over-hyping of this game....It never effected how I feel about this game. I've loved it since I was 5 when I used to beg my older brother to play it for me. Aeris used to be my invisible friend and I cried in my room when she died (i was a little girl, give me a break). Now I'm 21 and my brother is dead, so this game means a lot to me. I love it because I love it, no matter what other people say~

I'm pretty sure he can Supernova as often as he pleases, even in consecutive turns, given you survive. When you play this boss battle with no means to end it quickly, better have something you can do on the side, like playing FF4 on a Nintendo DS or something - then you can switch back and forth whenever you wait for the huge summon animations to finish playing :)

Well for leveling up there the Gelnika under the ocean and if you beat Ultimate Weapon you can train in the Ancient Forest the monster in the ocean and the desert are Weapons and they are tough you need to be high level and when you beat the game you watch the ending credits and secret ending also when on Disc 2 make sure you steal Zeidrich(best armor) from Rude and Touph Ring(best accessory) from Reno every time you fight them and make sure you have White Wind and Big Guard (Enemy Skill)

Yes, I finished the game with Cloud at level 85 I think, and he had 7500 roughly HP, but if you have HP Plus Materia Mastered, that increases your HP by 50%, taking it to 9999, same concept with MP.

"1 of 2 text" Cool, is that the part after getting out of Midgar? Where Cloud explains about the past? I kind of like that part because it goes through the whole story. And good guess about the Knights of the Round Summon, but I didn't spam it normally. because if you summon it normally, Ruby Weapon will counter it with "Ultima Spell" and rid of one of your parties. What I did was, I Equipped Ultima Weapon and Wizard Braclet and Ribbon, so I won't be confused or turn in to a frog.

farm exp in near mideel area as soon as possible, right around when you go to the temple of the ancients for the first time. I distinctly remember there being monsters from the higher elevation mideel area down underneath on some of the beaches. Getting alot of Enemy Skills early is a big boon also, at least when you first get out of Midgar, because they deal big damage to early strong bosses that give mucho exp. In that part of the game I recall a good place to get exp being the chocobo farm.

Cloud has an all-purpose setup because he is always in the party and ought to have something he should be able to do independent of team composition. Even so, he acts as utility using Enemy Skills and Magic to buff the party while Vincent and Cait Sith deal (more or less) maximized magic and physical damage, while having access to MP Absorb & MP Turbo Knights of Round, Mug glitch, overflow and Game Over, and Final Attack-Phoenix as a safety net.

Hey now. The beauty of Final Fantasy 7 is that since all abilities are assigned via materia, there is no clear job class for each character, it can only be suggested by looking at their stat allocations and their specific equipment. With that in mind, it requires creativity from the player to create a successful team of Cloud and two other characters, and any two are more than capable. Also, since any character can fill any class role, it boils down to a matter of taste.
