Final Fantasy VIII - Card Queen Side Quest + Retrieving Cards 1080p

And here begins the last stretch of getting the missing rare cards, the Queen of Cards side quest.
Fastest way of doing this is to first lose Mini Mog, Sacred, Chicobo and Alexander to the Card Queen at Balamb and make sure she moves to Dollet.
At Dollet, I heavily recommend abolishing the "Random" rule to make it both easier to lose the Doomtrain Card to the Card Queen and retrieve the lost cards from her little brother.
Doomtrain is in Timber Pub owner's possession, win it and lose it to the Card Queen.
After losing Doomtrain card to the Card Queen, you can play cards with her little brother to retrieve the lost cards.
With your cards returned, it time to depart on the hunt for the new rare cards.
Kiros Card is found in Deling City, man in black on the shopping arcade.
Irvine Card is in Flo's possesion in FH.
Chubby Chocobo Card is in Balamb Garden, Cadet opposite of library has it.
Phoenix Card is held by the President's Aide in Esthar City.

"There's a new doomtrain card somewhere in " .. .. ...... "If I had a doomtrain card, my father could paint a new card." WAIT WHAT?! Why did they put out the card in the first place... ..if he needed the card to make a new card.. so she now wants you to go find the card he had, but put out..which he now needs. Good god talk about plot holes lol. (I love this game, but I just caught that)

The way you dumped off all the cards you had to and sent her straight to Dollet was the single most awesome thing I've ever seen anyone do in this quest. And I just finished it and had been KZbining being the shit out of it. Was it just luck the All trade rule was in effect in Balamb at the time?

I simply cycled the rules with Card Queen until it was "All". It's fairly easy, as long as you don't leak "Random" in there~

i just beat her the old fashioned way. but this is my strategy. i only lose the card she wants whenever she's in dollet. by the way i know a secret to abandon the random rule in dollet. do you guys know the dollet hotel location? go there and you will see the girl standing there in the hotel by the save point, challenge her twice and both times say no and you will get the notification that the random rule was abolished. now as far as her majesty goes, there are two ways you can get her to move, lose a rare card from her, any card, then she will move to another location when you lose a rare card,. when you lose your rare card to her, not the card she wants, beat her for the card you lost to her and she will move again when she loses the rare card. this is what im doing. and you can always challenge her til the trade rules change, like direct, or one card change. whenever you challenge her and see the direct rule or diff rule, just quit the card game and challenge her again til you see trade rule One. ive done it over and over. you dont want direct or all. direct means any card she flips she keeps. all means she takes all of your cards, keep quitting the card game til trade rule one shows up. and only lose the card she is lookig for when she's in dollet. then you only get the lost card back from her son.

You can abolish the random rule along with everything else. It’s not hard, just a lot of back and forth from dollet and Timber. You can spread Open to the regions too.

For some reason when i lose my Alexander card to QoC she didn't create doomtrain, and i ended up getting back my Alexander card from QoC. Is it all the card i lose will be going directly to her son? Or some card will go to her son and some will be keep by QoC?

Doomtrain is picked up at the dollar pub from the pub owner in the back right corner behind the counter. She doesn't give out the new cards. They are picked up elsewhere, then the next stage of a lose one to her and continue like that goes on :)

All but Phoenix Card as that is available on disc 3, as is Squall Card.

You can save the cards and play them, or use card mod to turn them into items. Other GF abilities can turn those items into better items and powerful magic. For example 20 Elnoyle cards make 2 energy crystals, which is an ingredient for some ultima weapons, energy crystals can also be made into pulse ammo which can be used in irvines best limit break and squalls ultimate weapon, etc..

I am looking to complete to Queen of Cards side quest and I cannot find her ANY WHERE. Also, I am on disc 3. I also have lost two cards to her thus far (mini mog and sacred). I lost the two cards to her awhile back and cannot remember where she said she was going exactly. BUT, I have looked pretty much every place on the map. Can some one fill me in on what I may not be doing or may not have done? I cant remember if I spoke to her about her artist father when she was in Dollet. However, I am also not certain that the QoC just dissapears if one does not have that particular dialogue with her. Anyone know?

There are eight possible locations for Queen of Cards; Balamb Town - Train Station, Dollet - Shining Bomber Pub, Galbadia - Deling City Hotel, Fisherman's Horizon - Train Tracks, Trabia - Shumi Village Hotel, Centra - Winhill Hotel, Esthar - Presidential Palace and Lunar Gate. Speaking to her father has no impact on her availability.

If you lost the Alexander card to the Card Queen, Timber Pub's owner will play it, sooner or later.

Edea has more power in left-bottom corners. Squall is fairly good, right-bottom corners and otherwise solid, unless the right side is exposed.

I like to think that, for efficiency purposes at least, after acquiring Alexander from Piet aboard Lunar Base and getting back from space. You can get your Alexander card back as soon as you have spoken to the Card Queen without even having to leave Dollet.
