My favorite part in FF8 is when the gang's in the waiting room at Galbadia Garden. No one's saying a word as they're all wrapped up in their own thoughts. Squall - as broody as ever - works himself up into a frenzy with his thoughts until he shatters the silence by screaming "NO ONE'S GOING TO THINK ABOUT ME IN THE PAST TENSE!" like a frickin' madman before running out the door. Considering no one else in the room would have any idea what the hell he was talking about, I can only imagine them all thinking that Squall had gone completely insane. :D

There was so many hilarious moments in this! Thank you. My favorite part of the whole game is when Rinoa tells Squall he’s the best looking guy there and his face is all digitized and a meme later turned up. I died. The 3 characters’ synchronized walking 😂 Eleone never being where she’s supposed to be. The Laguna music. Zell bouncing before the fight. The story of this game is so convoluted. FF9 is my favorite to play but this one was really awesome. And ofc FF7 is iconic. Just received the Remake!

There's no point at all for watching a parody if you don't know the story, watch an Honest Trailer for that. What I mean is that some other content creators spoil big things about the plot at the very beginning of the game, thus ruining it for those who played just a part of it. RABtoons can keep the spoilers secret up to the part of the game where it is revealed, this can be noticed a lot in his FFXIV parodies.

That would be interesting, partly because I don't know if it's structured in such a way that could be teased easily. Here's a list I think they could work with... They should address the following: 1. The "walking in place" aspect of comabt, 2. The random nature of Heaven and Hell abilities for Rafa and Malak, rendering those badass abilities useless. 3. Orlandu wrecking everything, 4. Cloud making a strange-ass appearance with terrible abilities, 5. locating the Materia Blade so Cloud can activate his abilities, 6. charge time for magic, 7. the difficulty spike seen in Dorter Trade City in Chapter 1, 8. Beowulf being a badass 9. Fighting Gafgarion for the last time, unprepared. 10. Delita "murdering" Balmafula, only to see her later on, near the end in that graveyard. 11. Ramza and Alma riding by Oran and Balmafula without saying a word. 12. The different dialogue in War of the Lions. One of the best examples would have to be when Argath is interrogating a Death Corps guy after the Dorter Trade City battle. This is what Argath said in War of the Lions, "But you, pig, are a lucky one. Tell us what we wish to know, and you may yet keep your bacon." So, where is Wiegraf?" lmao yeah, they have a good amount of material to work with.

I really didn't like FF8, but I am a massive FF9, Tactics and FF7 fan. Like FF8's story was so convoluted, the game mechanics were not that fun. However, GF's were cool as fuck, the OST was a masterpiece and the only good characters I liked were Selphie, Zell and Laguna. That's just how I feel though really.

One major reason they cant do an HD remaster is that they no longer have the rights to Eye's On Me and the writer refuses to let them have it, and SE feels that the song is too integral to the game to let it exist without it, even though the game could be just as good without it.

I actually like the story because it's really weird and out there. The idea of all the characters growing up together and forgetting about it is a bit silly and contrived, but is it really any worse than the idea of people becoming supersoldiers after being injected with cells from space aliens and using compressed energy from the planet to fling fireballs at each other? This whole series was built on crazy plots and variations of old cliches.

The story is way better and more deep than ff9 which is lame simple and boring. Ff8 followed the success of 7 which was hard and if anything it deserves more time worked on it. Ff13 and ff15 both have multiple outside sources to help the main game yet they still aren't that good 8 does not.

Even now, after so many playthroughs I still discover things i wasnt aware of before, sometimes. I played 7 before and 6 after it. The issue with 8 was that it was too big for their development team and it would have totaled 8 disc to fit the entire story for squall and laguna. To drop it off 4 disc, they cut A LOT of the content for both sides to this crappy mess. I would have preferred the main to be Laguna since he had a better story and was more emotional than squall.

I mean... I played VII when I was 9 and I got the general gist of it. But there were a few things like all the Jenova shenanigans, the Lifestream psyche dissection -and a few of the rooms in the Honey Bee Inn- that wouldn't make total sense until I got older. By contrast VIII was much easier to understand. Except I don't think I immediately got the relations between Laguna, Raine, Julia, General Caraway and Rinoa until later on. And Griever both was and continues to be an enigma. (I remember people thought it was a GF because of the ingame text, but that turned out to be a mistranslation) And I didn't realise Adel was trapped on the moon and... yeah, alright, but to be honest continuing to notice and understand new things on repeat playthroughs while growing up was a pleasure of mine.
