Well life goes on. Wakka couldn’t let Chappu go and saw him in Tidus and Lulu was frustrated with Wakka for moping and seeing Tidus as another Chappu, she was pissed because she missed him too. Guess Wakka wanted to protect Lulu for his late brother and she didn’t want to be seen as just a favor. I can only imagine Wakka fell in love with her and she him. Chappu probably wouldn’t mind since it’s too late for him and he’d want them to be happy since he’s gone

Back in 10, the animators didn't want to do the extra work to show Lulu's feet, so they cut out the scene where she jumps onto the Al Bhed salvage ship, and had Kimahri carry her when the group is sliding down the metal cables to crash Yuna's wedding. Now in 10-2, they didn't want to create a whole new character model for a pregnant Lulu so they just reused the older one. How is a lady 9 months pregnant able to wear a long dress with a corset and high heels without any trouble moving around? Even Rikku is puzzled: She doesn't look pregnant

Wakka and Lulu's relationship may not be as obvious for many but their connection is pretty strong. Some of their moments just happened off screen. The scene when Lulu comforted Wakka during the blitzball match at ff10 already said enough. And the scene in operation mi'hen.

Yeah. Like since when did they ever have feelings for each other? Never. Because in the first FFX game, they NEVER once showed any romantic interest in each other. In fact, Wakka even said that he always saw Lulu as a sister. Especially when he was a kid. Cuz she was going to marry Chappu (his older brother) and even after he was tragically killed, Wakka’s feelings and view of Lulu has never changed. And all throughout FFX not once did they ever share any romantic moments. Not once. Not even in the remake. Yet low and behold in X-2, they are married without any explanation or context. Like they never explained how that was probable or why. Just thrown in there for no reason. And they expect us to roll with it. I feel Nojima is infamous for this. Cuz in a lot of FF games a lot of romance is last minute played or shown without context. Like it made absolutely no sense for Lulu and Wakka to get married when they clearly showed no romantic feelings for each other in the first game. Especially when Wakka said he considered Lulu a sister. So not only was that awkward, it just made no sense. It’s like the developers didn’t even stop and think about what they were writing. Or just completely forgot like Nojima tends to do at times. Again, I am not alone on this cuz many people of social media and forums are all agreeing that is dumb and completely pointless. Especially with lack of context and chemistry between the two. Even Lulu fans and role players agree with that and want to forget that even happened.

Probably denial really. Maybe Wakka thought it’d be inappropriate to even pursue Lulu since his brother was going to marry her and she felt he had to move on. I mean it’s obvious that they care about eachother and the only love story that we could really focus on was Tidus and Yuna. Who knows what goes on in that world. Chappu is gone and they finally let him go and Sin is defeated. I mean if you look at them both, they bring out the best in eachother. I say it works

I totally agree with everything you said but Wakka and lulus relationship was pretty much set in stone when Tidus asked lulu about being with Wakka. Plus, it happened off screen. A LOT can happen off screen.

@@Jon2ne1 Actually that’s not what Tidus was referring to. He was only asking Lulu to go easy on Wakka because she was always being harsh on him. Not to be in a relationship with him by any means. But neither character was interested in each other romantically. So you misinterpreted what he was implying. None of this was set in stone from the beginning. The developers just retconed the characterizations and the continuity of X-2 is so disjointed it’s practically fan fic compared to the original game.

Lulu "Getting along isn't enough, not even close" Before lulu asked "me with Wakka" Tidus said there are others. Hmmm how about Wakka? @@Jon2ne1 But Lulu disagreed. She said getting alone wasn’t enough. So that completely debunks your case. Also Wakka said that Lulu is like a sister to him cuz she was like family to him. Mostly cuz she was gonna marry Chappu. But regardless, their relationship was not originally intended. Hence why Lulu disagreed with Tidus’ suggestion. Again, X-2 was only made as a cash grab. It’s disjointed continuity and retcon changed what they intended. Which is why the relationship made no sense nor believable. The moment Lulu said “getting along isn’t enough” made it clear to viewers that Lulu wasn’t romantically interested in Wakka. Plus Wakka was too much of a goofball to care about romance nor did he ever show any hint of feelings. Which is why I already said that they never showed any chemistry together.

@@Shadowrulzalways again, a lot can happen off screen. Was it two or three years that passed after sins defeat? By the end of the original game, both of them grew up. So during the calm, it can be possible that they developed feelings for each other. Wakka was definitely more mature in x-2 than x. As for x 2 being a cash grab, I am in total 100 percent agreement with you.
