O.O...Okay, I had no clue you could split them up until I saw this video. My only interest is beating the Dark Aeons (and Penance), so when I saw this I was super excited. Thank you for showing me! I got all the celestial weapons and everyone armor with auto-haste, auto-protect, break hp limit and ribbon. After that every boss is a piece of cake.

Perhaps it is good that they changed NA Rank 1 Quick Hit. Perhaps not. They didn't change Entrust + Attack Reels or suiciding an Aeon to absorb a deadly attack. They didn't change Rikku's Mixes. They didn't take away the BDL or BHPL. They didn't change Don Tonberry and the Overdrive > AP trick. They didn't limit the Sphere Grid, in fact they made it bigger, and added more branches. They added Ribbon. Criticising Quick Hit sounds a lot like Sour Grapes to me, after the second or third time.

dansg08 I've played FF on and off since about 1994 with 6. I still fucking palm sweat during the super bosses from Deathgaze to the Weapons to the Hunts and Espers of XII (I stopped at XII, played a bit of XIII, hated every moment). I've beaten most but for some reason the Dark Aeons always made me freak the fuck out and lose my shit. I think it's due to the surprise level of them. They ambushed me on low stats a lot. Anyway great channel. You don't have an annoying voice, most FF KZbinrs have annoying voices and I don't know why that is. Anyway that alone puts you above the others. Do a XII one I want to see your Zodiark tactics.

+Old Skool Wax never played FFXII, so no tactics there :), I'd likely play it if they ever remaster it for the PS4 or made it available on steam.

It took me a few attempts to figure out how to beat them all together but I did it because I couldn't figure out how to split them up in the first place. Lol. I summoned my own magus sisters. Magus sisters as the Aeon shield was the key. They're the only Aeon that can survive long enough through the multiple attacks to tank the overdrive. So I can kill one and prevent them from ever using delta attack.

Ribbon does stoneproof and many other proofs. Ribbon is far better than just stoneproof.

lol i just learned blitz ace in bikanel island because of the cactuar village sidequest. had tidus equip his caladbolg for triple overdrive. set the overdrive mode to victor and just before getting the 8th cactuar i got it.

I got a Horn of the Ronso drop from Ultimate Buster with 2FS and Triple AP, Overdrive to AP already on it. Is it worth farming him for that type of drop rather than One Eye?

Depends, if you don't have items for Triple overdrive and your party can defeat UB easily then yes. Ultima Buster can drop the perfect farming weapon with all 3 abilities that you need.

dansg08 Really? Hmm... It took me forever to gather the Gil required to bribe the Sand Worm enough times to accumulate enough Winning Formulas for 3 Triple Overdrive Weapons. When it comes time to get Auron, Lulu, Kimahri, and Yuna up to speed with Tidus, Rikku, and Wakka, I may end up just trying to farm UB for those magical AP weapons.

Yep, but remember double overdrive is a good substitute if you haven't used up the Underdog's Secrets from Rin.

Hah, videos will have to make do I'm afraid :P To be honest my knowledge comes from countless playthroughs and spending a lot of time reading the fantastic guides made by others. I will mention the best guides/FAQs out there for this game in the final episode. There's still a lot of stuff that I never even talked about in this playthrough, remember there are 3 separate Ultimania guides for this game alone :) You could easily set up enough content to run a University Degree course in FFX :P

I just defeated all 3 magus sisters all at once lol I was lucky because I used Yuna nd summon yoyimbo nd he did zamato nd killed all 3 at once. Did you had that b4?

I spent several hours fighting dark shiva, had to reset a lot - FINALLY got a Ribbon/Break HP Limit drop for Lulu... BUT... she already had got one... sigh - Hopefully the Magus Sisters will drop Ribbons.

How were you not extremely excited by that Genji shield? BHPL with three slots? That's pretty damn good. Ribbon, Auto-Haste, and Auto-Pheonix would make it uber.

+Kcets It would, but ribbon with 3 free slots is much more exciting, getting Ribbon takes a lot longer than BHPL. It's definitely a nice armour though :)

Farming dark-yojmbo will give you all the ribbon armour you need. If you’re lucky you get break hp limit and ribbon

@@Golden_Legend Do you know the trick with Yojimbo ? If you deal the final blow with a character, it has a much higher chance for it to drop you a weapon/armor for that character that dealt the final blow. Keep in mind that this trick isn't 100% but increases the chances of that happenning. So technically what you can do is to always deal the final blow with that character that you want the Ribbon/BHPL for. Just keep resetting until you get it

Haha I remember running around trying to find more stuff Id missed and ran into this crap. Was pretty much maxed out in every way. Still all it took to kill all three (since I was to much of a spazz to read about running) right away was one donation to Yojimbo and it was over :P Didnt really get what had happened right away :P Might remember wrong since it was Ages ago but yeah, had like 2k hours on one save, havent played it since. Favourite in the series for me!

those stats aren't the best ones which will be used later. With the maxed stats the Armour makes more sense.

Matthew Auto Protect halves the dmg received. So with 255 Defense and Auto Protect you will further on keep decreasing the damage received, making the armor good. Keep in mind that most people don't customize Auto Protect with a BHPL route

I've played FFX during my freshman year in High school wayback its original release, bought psvita when i got a job after graduating College and played it there and bought the Greatest Hits version for PS2 for nostalgia but i still cant beat Chocobo race and 200 dodges. The first thing they do is cast their overdrive, and I swear it was like a 5 minute cutscene where at the end my party got damaged 99999, 99999, 99999. In this game everything's possible. You can customize: stoneproof, silenceproof, curseproof, darkproof, sleepproof, poisonproof, deathproof, zombieproof, slowproof, confuseproof and berserkproof instead of Ribbon if you wanted too. The downside is that you cannot have all of them at once since you only have a max of 4 slots and you definetely need auto haste, auto pheonix(if you're not going for BHPL) and either auto protect/auto regen. What makes the Ribbon so good is the fact that it protects you against all of the above negative statuses except for death, curse, power break, magic break, armor break and mental break. What some people might not realize or know is the fact that ALL of these exceptions can be easily removed by using Dispell except for Death/Instant Death of course

Attack Reels is objectively better, so it's better to Entrust. Nothing mind-boggling about it. You're sacrificing damage because you want to change up animations.
