For some reason, this takes me back to a year-end function at work a few years ago. They didn't play jazz, but this song would feel right at home with the venue. Your first take on jazz is an excellent one.

I think I had subconsciously gravitated toward a jazz sound here since I had also been brainstorming for that _"Cookie_ _Jazz"_ song title/idea of yours.

@@DAR-Davester2296 The realisation just hit me that I couldn't figure out what subgenre of jazz this reminds me of. The closest I would personally categorise this would be along the lines of "Jazz Noir".
