This was just impressive. You beat him before he could even enter his second phase. It just makes it look odd to defeat him before he gets his wings, and see the cutscene where he suddenly has them.

26th attempt with Vanille, Fang and Light. Then again it took me 43 tries to beat Hecaton so it wasent that bad. Serves me right for not level grinding enough.

What I did was using Lightning, Fang and Hope, with Com / Sab / Syn. Then once debuff and buff has been in place, switched to Rav / Com / Rav until he's staggered. After that, keep on inter-changing with this paradigm shift to Com / Com / Rav.

this is the first ff13 boss in the whole game who didn't give you any cheap shots, but was still difficult. He was skilled. Not just throwing out unfair attacks.

Hey! I used the same characters! I had to use one of the items that automatically protects, shields and veils the characters before hand.

Having trouble? Use fang as your lead, most of the time time use commando, use slow in his first half to make him almost never attack, and switch to sen when things get to tricky

The group meets up with an inside man that Snow knows personally. But Lightening is quicker to pick up on the possibly alliance switch.... Which are founded.... Now the cat's out of the bag, he reveals the full plan of the villain.... Yeah, basic "destroy-the-world-to-restart-from-scratch" thing. But inside of the villain wanting to reshape it himself, he basically wants to bring back the creation God....

I have been trying to understand that My Lightning, but this dude is right and the CE Book says to stick with Fang/light/Hope, but that is not always the good choice. I m going to give it a try, i used the same people he used for Barthandelus and it worked.

Oh and my leader was fang! I love her as Commando! :> The awesome part is that you can have 3 commandos to get Cerberus! But.. you can't have Tri-disaster with Fang >.> Well.. you CAN but.. seriously.. who does?

This guy was like the hardest fight for me. Barthandelus was easier, this dude just managed to get me into this state where if I stopped guarding and healing he'd drop me instantly, but he could never finish me off. Real... Fun.

There Is A Faster Way To Beat Him, I Used Lightning, Snow And Sazh I Made Sazh Give Me That Buffs (Haste,Vigilance,Faith,Bravery) And I Think Veil As Well, Then I Made Relentless Assault, Hit Him With My Commando (Snow) Then I Changed To Tri-Disaster, And Made Him Staggered, Then I Made The Stagger Go To 550% Then Switch To Cereberus Then Hit Him With EveryThing You've Got. Hope This Helps.(This May Only Work On High Level Crystarium). I LOVE THIS GAME, FINAL FANTASY FOREVER!!!.

Cid is neutral-good in FFII, good, if not doing much in FFIII, good and a party member in FFIV, good in FFV, good in FFVI, good if not seeming to do much in FFVIII, good in FFIX, good(-ish) in FFX/FFX-2, good from what I know in FFXI, and good in FFXIV. Not sure where you got the idea he's only good in FFVII.

+James MacKinnon Well, Snow said he didn't think he completed it, but he wasn't sure. Technically speaking, I don't think what Raines did actually diverted the path he was meant to make them travel, he just threw himself in as another obstacle. If he killed them, then he would have totally failed it.
