Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Review | A No Longer New Player's Experience

Man I remember watching your video on HW when deciding whether or not to get back in (I beat ARR close to it's release then dropped off). Almost a year later I've completed all the expansions and found a new love and appreciation for the game and honestly video games as a whole. FFXIV is what I imagined MMOs were like as a kid with all the wonder and magic included. I'm so happy I got to be here for Endwalker and I'm can't wait to hear your thoughts! Thanks for the push forward!

Nnonononononono, EW had me crying so much, I was emotionally exhausted for a couple weeks. Shb had me on my toes, it's amazing, but EW, is on another level. XIV will forever live in my heart ♥ best RPG I have ever played, let alone it's an MMO.

Idk why everyone has a problem with pacing. I felt it build up perfectly. Doesn't always have to be action packed. I thought this expansion's pacing was cleverly done and did exactly what it was trying to do.

I think it was a bit of accidental 'meta-gaming' where the players knew The Final Days were coming, they forget that in the beginning of the game, our characters and the NPCs do not.

I came in Endwalker with a lowered expectation as how can you top Shadowbringers? But man, Endwalker is a freaking love letter.

End Of Dragons might be Endwalker's rival, i just hope that FFXIV fans won't go ballistics that EOD might surpass Endwalker, because Arenanet is rising up from its ashes, since that GOT-like ending from The Icebrood Saga.

@@BaithNa A lot of people didn't liked Stormblood too. I hope that End Of Dragons live up as Factions's successor, no king and god rules forever, FFXIV won't be always first place on anything.

Stormblood is the weakest expansion of ff14 , which Is what makes it a more realistic goal. As of now we're looking at 10 more years of ff14 , so its Nowhere near done. Gw2 has a Shit ton or improvements to make before reaching stormblood. But its doable if they give it their all.

I had just beat it last night. Now knowing all the non voiced cutscenes can be skipped and you'll understand the story just fine. This game was amazing and worth the entire journey. Even ARR Edit: Okay ARR still sucks shit. But I'm thankful it taught me how to play the game

I do not recommend that mindset - "all the non voiced cutscenes can be skipped and you'll understand the story just fine" While you might technically be correct - not sure because there is a lot of MSQ that is not voiced, espsecially in ARR, HW and SB - you will miss so many cahracter moments, so much of the journey along the way. And for what, reaching the end sooner? I mean, one of my favorite scenes in EW is eating food with some of the scions. Granted, that was voiced I think. Sort of funny thinking of EW, where a massive theme of the game is to find purpose in the jouney and not the destination, because at the very end, you will only find death - and that is ok.
