Hey Ashe, i was just curious what your take was on the Teamcraft melds with higher Gathering but bit lower Perception than what you went with.... seems they hit the 25% Metic. appraisal cap but not sure what if anything they sacrifice to hit it

Might be better if you are planning to farm collectable in the long run, 7.1 gear will make you hit that easily

@@xAshe10x yeah with the orange scrip voucher mount the extra buff on collectables might be nice, and can still hit the perception breakpoint for legendary nodes by switching over to ponzecake.... thanks for the input, great content as always

What are you doing with these collectables, is it just for script? So you spend on materia so you can farm collectables for more materia? Just curious if i should go for mid-tier melds then work my way up to these once I collect my own materia from scripts and spiritbonding.

pentamelding costs so much gil in the end for gatherers and crafters. i did it on the last tier of EW and was luckier then most people on materia losses and I still don't think I'll ever do it again. I lost way more then I could ever hope to get back.

These types of melds are only good if you're very dedicated to either. Even then, you can do cheaper variations that won't hit the highest gather breakpoints or might require 1-2 additional HQ mats and save money that way. If you don't like playing the market board, it's definitely not worth going all out.

I can't speak to "best", but I just went to Garland Bell, clicked on all the 7.0 collectables, and just whacked those every 2 in-game hours until I had all the books.
