So if you're on world 3 in peak hours in the grand exchange and everyone is somehow spamming skillcape emotes, you won't even see them. Processing won't be an issue. FFXIVM is gonna be on a new engine and won't run on the 11-year old spaghetti code of FFXIV so our discussion is moot anyways.

I played FFIXV via Moonlight on my phone and a Kishi. Cross hotbar worked perfectly fine. If youve only done pc it will be an adjustment but controller will feel right at home if they keep the option of a cross hotbar for those who have a controller.

As an FF14 player of 10 years I truly feel this isn't necessary and resources could be put into more content. I highly doubt they will do a monthly payment model for a mobile version, meaning it will be a cash cow. The studio is a mobile only studio, so the game will likely play well and look nice... But it makes me a bit nervous for the future of FFXIV and my all time fear of the game going to a Free To Play model after testing popularity on mobile. I might have a tinfoil hat on, but I've seen this too many times with other studios.

Yoshi-P is a mad man but I have learned to trust the process. "In the third quarter of 2023, 70% of online users in the US played video games on their phones, compared to 42% who played on consoles" for some countries the percentage of mobile gamers is closer to 90. If this works it could really pour money into the studio and then Yoshi-P can make FFXIV in real life.

For starters this is outsourced, it'll have zero impact on the development of the main game and second, this is clearly not meant for you OGs, just let it be. Personally, i can't really bother to install the PC version or spend long play sessions in it, but i can see myself giving this a try on small breaks and stuff.
