Seriously I cannot thank you enough for making this guide! Every other gatherer leveling guide is maybe 12min long and just says "get level 10, then go diadem until 50", which explains nothing about the gatherer itself, such as the large amount of abilities you unlock quickly with no explanation, all of the stats, and especially the UI and the insane amount of windows and logs and such to sort through as you level. But you do, and you break it all down, piece by piece, until it's easily digestible and fun to watch, you truly make amazing videos my friend! Will be using yours to level all the crafters as well once my gatherers are 80, you're the best, Wesk!

Your explanations are excellent! Stressing certain things, going over what icons to throw away or must keep is super helpful. Good stuff. I was awaiting your Miner/Botanist video ever since I saw the Fisher one but I managed to grind out to the mid 50's in both since then. Good frame for those who are new to the gatherers. Small thing I wanna add about maps. You can hold as many maps as possible in your inventory but if you activate a map then you have to finish that map before you activate another.

They'll never make it as a gatherer or crafter that's for sure. That was 99 gathers of exp for one. For two... you really do gather HUNDREDS of stuff for bigger crafting projects.

for any newcomers or current players! i know this video is a year old now but if you already have macros set up to swap classes you can add a ( /ac "ability" ) command line to them to auto activate the prospect,triangulate,TotF,etc abilities upon switching between gatherers. if you dont have macros set up there are tutorials on it all over youtube it makes life so much easier for these jobs HAVE FUN!

@@WeskAlber I mean for like when you swap to BTN to activate the MIN(prospect,etc) ones so you can always see every node if that makes sense :) that way you don’t manually have to do it and you won’t forget to do it. Also love all your video too btw they are very helpful

The thing with the Materia just hurts, when i unlocked the transformation of materia from the goblin master i already had a ton of battle materia. I didnt get anything useful, but i did get some low level gathering materia..... which i ended up throwing in for transformation again because i though it be even more useless. Turn out its very useful and can be sold for quite alot too......

Once again suberb video! And once again a question. While leveling the "main job", do you sugest doing all these you explain in your videos? I mean, leveling the other jobs in parallel, plus leveling gathering professions? Does it not mean that it will take A LOT of time to reach the level cap at least with the "main job"?

Hey, Wesk!! Idk if you're still going to be updating these guides but just so you know, in Endwalker the gathering quests are WAYYYY easier now. I'm leveling BTN on an alt right now and I'm at level 30 and everything has been either 10 or 15, even the previous 99-item quests! Imagine my surprise when I only had to collect, like, 15 crow feathers. Just thought you should know :}

I notice the in-game time (Eorzea one) is actually 1 minute per 2 real world seconds, so in total, if you miss unspoiled node, you just have to wait around 48 minutes to have another chance, less than 20 minutes from the point you recorded this video.

One irl day is 70 minutes, or 35 minutes for 12 hours. Missing an ARR unspoiled would be closer to needing to wait 61 minutes.
