Considering that they made Max play 15 levels under on an S rank boss and he almost cleared it with only playing like 6 hours worth in his private session is nuts. And the crazy thing is, neither him or the dev used the shotlock style mechanic they added from Kingdom Hearts into the game that lets you do massive ranged damage during moments of distance. This game is gonna be fucking bonkers.

I aspire to want to BE sakaguchi but like, bro was going crazy back in 2000 with the franchise, with a movie and an anime that weren't too successful. There was some weird hoopla with SE's Canadian studios, but let's not forget how Tomb Raider was a PC Benchmarking game for years. Or how successful a lot of their mobile games, and different franchises were, comparatively. Square-Enix is more than just final fantasy. (Don't forget they also made a killing off of a couple manga franchises, like Black Butler and FMA) Also, Kingdom Hearts happened AFTER sakaguchi, so, I don't know how that could possibly be a statement. Like, if anything, and I'm being honest as someone who's looked up to Sakaguchi for having been an inspiration for me to being a software engineer through game development, Mistwalker, if anything, would needed Square Enix more than Square-Enix needing key members of Mistwalker through the 2000's, 10's and 20's. I know, its hard to say, Uematsu's work was what got me into playing piano back in 2006. Just, Mistwalker never had a big hit until they made a mobile title with Terra Battle. And I know, it sucks saying that, but you couldn't find a copy of Last Story, even if you wanted to, (operation rainfall wasn't that successful outside of Xenoblade Chronicles)

@@Rikent after seeing and playing Eikon battles I don't get what kind of imbecile would rather have turn-based combat in a game like this. The turn based era had great FF games, but I always got pretty bored of grinding those, it was only cool like one or 2 times when you used some magic with cool effects. With this combat system even grinding becomes fun as you style on mobs and try new combos. The gameplay is addictive and the story and visuals are beautiful, the game is excellent.

Final Fantasy really has made memories for me that lasted a life time. It is crazy to think about the impact that 6-10 had on me as a kid. I loved and cherished those stories and characters. I didnt have many friends as a kid but I had my JRPGs lol

They actually brought the best minds behind Suzuki's works, Platinum Games, and even some of the KH combat directors. Three completely separate action game studios are all in on this and they've been cooking for 8 years. This game is going to be nuts.

Well I will tell you this their goal of getting new final fantasy players into the franchise worked. I freaking love this game. Incredible story, amazing combat, literally cinematic moments left and right in combat sequences. I also started playing final fantasy 14 in May this year. Needless to say, they've got me wrapped around their finger now. Incredible studio of developers. Can't wait to see what comes next. Square Enix, Larian Studios, and CDPR. The last bastions of great video games and amazing stories.

This game is sick. Combining the extreme difficulty from Elden Ring (1 hit, and it gives you 5% hp), requires combination of buttons and skill, great graphics in action and magic, amazing stories, stunning musics. Not the usual FF, with more like medium difficulty and such.

I dunno about the difficulty shown. I feel like, in FF games of the past, I would've found this fight at level 50 and won on my first messy, grueling try. The combination of skills in real time combat still has me sold, but I suspect NG+ difficulty with the ring that automates Torgol will be that sweet spot of challenge for me without having to consult a guide to find enemies 1.5x my level.
