And as a Chastain fan, I was bummed that he wasn't going to make it. When I saw him flying up at the finish line I couldn't believe it. Went from one extreme to the other in emotions. Totally a hail mary type move. Still in disbelief. Wonder how that will affect future race finishes. Maybe more drivers will try that move now.

What was his lap time and speed? Possibly a record for nascar cup but I think a nascar modified probably actually holds the track record. Edit looks like a modified driven by Greg sacks had the record at 18.746 seconds so curious what Ross ran . Looks like the cup record was 18.898 by Logano

I was so dejected on the 2nd to last lap, I thought it was a done deal. Then just as Bell crosses the line I looked up and saw this red car charging on the outside behind Brad, got confused, saw the Moose, and realized Chastain crossed in 5th place Only Ross could find a way to outshine Bell pulling his 2nd consecutive playoff win to advance this year. Still a pretty bad Martinsville performance for the Next Gen, but that finish helped it a lot
