Shocking the tires through the corner with the way you're in & out with the throttle. Also, much more smoother with steering using both hands.

Changing the steering finally, another $1000 I didn't have at the time I built it. Will improve the ratio and tighten the slack up some

Jason Dukes, you have built a solid piece. You should be proud of it and yourself. I’m not gonna Lie, I’d love to stretch the throttle springs on that hot rod bud! Keep diggin🤙

How she goes boys, how she goes. You're doing a great job with the car and the channel. Can't wait to congratulate you on your first win with this car. And you will get it, I'm sure of it. Take care Jason.

I hate you didn’t get to finish, but you put a whole Racecar back in the trailer. You’ll fix it and go again. Good to see yall, and I’ll see you soon.

Tough break. Still waiting too long to get back into the throttle. Soon enough and you'll be able to throttle around the corners.

Still not quite right. I think it did get better when I took a 1/2% left out of it but I think i need to take another 1/2% out

Arching the entry instead of making a oval into a square will be the best fix ..

Next stock car build I say ya go back to leafs and make em fast again lol
@DIRTRACELIFE2 ай бұрын
I love leafs but I think next up is retrofitting the 112" to factory stock for Rachel. And then I am going to reclaim my leafer for the big factory stock shows ;)

Patting the gas in the corners is unhooking the front tires
@DIRTRACELIFE3 ай бұрын
the mic really pics it up. but that was less than an 1/8" pedal movement I guarantee you. I hear it and think wow that's crazy but man it's just a slightest adjustment in the pedal doing that....

Why couldn't you go see the track?
@DIRTRACELIFE3 ай бұрын
too far away and too big a time gap from eyes on until out on it. track was changing fast.

Those tires are like wooden fences they suck you were right in I hope you get to the bottom of what's going on I was really hoping the car would be in the winner circle one of these races

I was VERY surprised when it locked that steering sector up. I felt like I had just brushed it with the edge of the tire. . . .

Kid. Stop over thinking the setup. The difference between a hooked up track and a slick track are not that big. Air pressure and maybe a left rear spring. Take a night and don't change the setup, just how you drive. I'll bet the difference in how you run will be minimum from what your doing.

It was amazing watching all the guys who had a crew chief making adjustments tot eh cars right before they went on the track. Sometimes it was just air but I saw guys literally changing weight jack settings and shocks in the staging. The tech on these cars is so dialed in that when you have a track like this that changes a whole 3 seconds from fastest to slowest you have to be on top of a lot more then just "drive it different" I don't have the whole picture yet on how to be that good but being exposed to it for 4 days definitely helping me make progress. And the setup still isn't right for me yet, I think I am close but it's just not fitting me yet and it shows in how I end up driving the car.

I agree Jason. I think you are overthinking. I’m sure you know what the adjustment is supposed to make the car react. Just from your in car videos, now don’t take this the wrong way, you are over driving the car. Too much sawing back and forth is scrubbing off speed. Try slowing down to go faster. Entry, driving, let the car work. A good handling stock snout car will drive itself through the corners. I’ve been retired for a few years, but cars haven’t changed that much. And what are your front end settings? Left caster & camber. Right caster & camber?
