haha, at 200m Mathias was thinking "I will beat Karsten WARHOLM!!!!!" , at 220m Mathias was thinking "NOPE...!" But maybe there is a career change to 400m possible, if the 100m results stay below expectations!!! #lacticacid

As I thought: you have got an high potential to run a very good 400m time ;) Maybe you are more suited to run a 200m\400m combination than your current 100\200m combo ? ;)

If you could introduce 1-2 sessions every 10days - 2 weeks with a focus on 150m-400m intervals I think you could not only run a very quick 400m but also much faster over 200m and potentially 100m. Over 2-3 years I could see you being very competitive indoors at world and european level (like potential medal contender) and/or potentially an olympic finalist in the 400m outdoors. My question to you is "do you believe you could make an olympic final in the 200m?" If not, then I would consider a shift in your training towards more speed endurance without sacrificing speed and an experiment that is worth pursuing.....interested to hear your thoughts?

If you're talking about the thee point start/block start; I use three point starts to warm up for block starts. Last year I got "turf toe" as my toe got extended too far doing it on a soft surface. After that I started putting my back foot in a block to avoid this happening again. I also feel like it is a good way to practice pushing from the back block during the start.
