El agave is a 1957 euro rag that I race on real street VW racing in the Triple crown vw racing series. I’m honored to have broke a new record and run 7.10 and better all day race after race setting new records and running hard as possible! The car did exceptionally well with amazing day with good shifting and great numbers back to back

Congrats to the winners. I find it interesting that real street cars in 2022 is considerable slower compared to real street cars almost 20 years ago. We did 1/4" mile racing back then and the fastest real street NA cars was deep into the 10`s with 6.30 - 6.50 times half way. Good times!

We have rules that are way different stock intake stud location 48s 44 Venturi weight per cubic inch and that’s the tracks we have so we run here it’s more competitive to the lower hp guys that the cars work well to stay in the gane

In the late 80s-early 90s there were AT LEAST 20 Ovals here in Santa Ana. There were probably 30 Bugs total that had 8’s on built 2110 and 2180 engines. Saw some pretty darn fast 1776 and 1835 powered Bugs too but they mostly ran Dellortos. I always thought they made a better carburetor than Weber which were garbage EXCEPT for those IDAs which are still irreplaceable.
