Nice oval, does anybody remember the Mike Scott oval from the early 2000's, ran low 10's and I think he broke into the 9's in Vegas

The silver one went up for sale a few years ago he still had it and had not used it since he made it famous in Sacramento and Vegas tracks

@@volkstroke I remember reading about the car in Hot VW and he said the motor was from a buddy who owed him I think he said 25k and his wife was afraid to ride in it after one wild ride. I seen him run in Vegas and pulled the wheels at least 20 yards and still ran a 10.0, he lost in the final against the Paradise VW red vert. It was incredible

Yup taller tires and shorter 3rd would bring you up. Helped riding in the car looking at that tach. Or just shorter 3rd. your just under the power band going into 3rd. You might still get a good launch with taller tires But 3rd rpm is just under the power and your strong power is between 7500 and 9. Car is super fast the way it is but I WANT YOU TO WIN!!!!!!!

you need to come into 3rd at closer to 7. you can see the car really pull once you hit 7500 in 3rd. then you finish at around 86 I think you are coming into 3rd at 64. But if your 1st and second was faster speed from taller tires. you would be further down the track hitting 3rd too. so it would make a slightly faster run IMO. I dont know what is available in tires or gears but worth looking into since the trans is out.......WIN....Baby WIN.....Skinnier taller? or same with 200rpm more launch. Just something to think about.

Very nice bug as much time money you put in that car I would keep it all Original stock would ben more enjoyable Ride than racing it with sweat restoration and interior perfect Cruising bug installed I went to bug races at speedway I did not care for it prefer Regular bug shows some cars are not meant to be raced yours meet the criteria.

I do cruise it and enjoy street driving it very much take my wife for ice cream 🍨. Stock 36hp VWs are not fun and crash box transmissions the stock components of a 57 are not enjoyable they are ridiculously slow and it’s not what we do we out here pushing the limit. There are plenty of show cars there are only a few show cars that can run a Six and go home with wins at a race and 1st place at prado and place at treffen and RVA maybe just one ☝🏿the hobby needs variety
