It wasn't just for insurance. Playing Vegeta point is harder than playing Black point, and he'll need a hit to tag back, or use a risky af raw tag. Hell, for all he knew the character could also be left by a pixel, make sure too.

AlanKush420 he may not be running A16, Adult gohan or cell but trunks is up there as well. Vegeta has arguably best assist and then a18 pressure is godlike. Not taking anything from him because I love watching Chris G play

Chris has a couple bad habits, but I think if he corrects his bad habits he'll be up there at dogura level. I think if Chris works on those habits and plays around vegeta assist better, he'll be ready for EVO

Yea, it was really super risky to overextend your pressure in Marvel because of XF cancel through blockstun and 0f f/b + H grabs. You couldn't even stagger much in Marvel because of 0frame grabs. Here you can see people staggering and putting people in blockstrings all day.
