They had security , the scene when they arrive at the building shows a guard opening the Gate with the implication that there were more but incognito. The spetznaz kill team probably eliminated them prior to entering the room.

This would have been a great movie except for the fact that there were so many things that made it awful. For instance, it would have seemed less contrived if they had a narrator tell us exactly what was going to happen - plot twist wasn't a twist: it was a straight line (John Malkovich explains it to the audience like they collectively have an IQ of 12). Super-soldier Marky-mark can't figure out from the 'mother' comment that something isn't right? Iko Uwais has the acting range of a cardboard box - 'gotcha'.

It's been Iko hasn't done another of American movies. But The Raid Redemption and The Raid 2 are some of the best action movies. 2 has the best fight scene ever..
