I love the implication that stiller's character didn't really have any powers, UNTIL the machine turned on. As it was described earlier that it causes the mind to effect reality, it basically made his self delusion of having powers come true. In other words, the bad guy created the hero that beat him.
@ezstudios35217 күн бұрын
I always wondered why his powers finally kicked in at that moment XD, sounds like a plausible explanation

When this came out about 25 years ago, my brother, his kids, and myself rented it. When it got close to the end, Mr Furious grabs the girl (can't remember her name) and jumps 20' down, while playing the sound FX from Bionic Man. My brother & I bust out laughing, but his kids just have a blank look and saying "we don't get it".

The script was changed. Notice the tornado in the pit at the end? Someone threw a tornado bomb into the pit, but the Baby Bowler scene was added so that it's Carmine destroying it. The cast made this movie good despite the director's incompetence.
@francistaylor1822Ай бұрын
It was a good movie because of everyone, the director still made a good movie
@alanhindle3149Ай бұрын
What francistaylor1822 said. It seems likely that if the script was changed at the last minute it was the director who changed it. The actors might have suggested an improvised scene (if the director wasn't, in fact, encouraging improvisation amongst such a talented comedic cast all along) but it would still have been the director who included it in the final cut.
@EndoftheBeginning17Ай бұрын
It's been such a long time but I think they did both, there are several movies from that time frame where certain cur scenes were just cut from the VHS copy with no reason given, and sometimes they were critical moments and it makes that part of the movie look odd

They changed the original ending. If you pay attention to the visual effects when Carmine destroys the psycho-frakulator, you’ll notice that it looks exactly like the tornado-in-a-can from when they first meet Heller. That’s because they were originally supposed to use the canned tornado to destroy the machine.
