French Drains are Great and they Work Efficiently. Nice thing about them is there is NO limit on Size or Length of the French Drain. Very Efficient Water Mgmt. 👍

Your tractor did an impressive job with digging and the rock! A word to the wise, you may want to check the wear on the main king pins and bushings on the loader. If they experienced unusual wear the time to fix is winter before any damage to the main supports. Very powerful unit for it's size.

I think Diego's theory is that any bite from another horse's bucket is a plus for him and then he's still going to get what is in his bucket 🪣.

I was reading about the rocks in the fields. They will never stop coming to the surface, with freeze and thaw the rocks come to the surface. I really don't understand it but that's what it said. Although it said it happens when the ground is disturbed that's why they aren't a big problem in the pastures. Just Sayin !

It's not too late to think about using cement Piers, for the posts to sit on, save on future troubles, digging out rotten posts.

Rocks came from potato field possibly still has potatoes in it so don't be surprised when next spring you get potato plants springing up in your trenches. French fries yippee.

I know that it's probably been asked before, but it really seems that there is a lot of mulch left in those potato rocks. Would you mind going in more detail into how it would affect drainage before it all dissolves (which might take another year, right?)

Just curious. Didn’t see any barn kitty’s. There are so many on other side of barn by Veggie boys. Do the horses and dog scare them away? Would think they would help with critter patrol.
@barbarabeagley665022 күн бұрын
The kitties are fed on the Veggie Boys side, so normally show up on camera there. But I am sure they have a vast amount of awareness of all things Shady Knoll. It's just a cat thing.

Most adult cats will travel around the whole area to include the closer fields. We had barn cats and they had a routine. Milk barn twice a day, hay barn off and on, garage area, and fields at night.
