Have James weld a 3/4 in bolt to the top of the trailer jack so you can go up and down with an impact or a ratchet. Than can weld a cheep 3/4 socket to the inside of the original handle for it shit realy hits the fan. As for the cardboard roof, you can use fiberglass resin on cardboard to make it water tight and stiff as a board. Put the resin on a single later of cardboard top and bottom, than put 2-3 layers of them to make a super easy and cheep roof.

Cleet! Regarding your lambda sensors - did you guys have the ignition on for a while and then start a cold engine? If so, this can be catastrophic for the sensor... Unless your ECU is set to (or even can) control the sensor warm-up cycle, the sensor will start to warm up straight away. If it gets up to operating temp (which will be seriously hot and usually happens within 60 seconds) and then you start a cold engine, the rush of cold (often damp) air over the sensor can break them (which manifests as either incorrect readings or an error). (I'm speaking from experience having killed *at least* 2 wideband sensors of different brands after leaving the ignition on for a couple of minutes to change ECU settings and then starting a cold car)

Yep! I welded a lug nut to my scissor jack for my Jeep so I can use the Milwaukee Fuel impact on it. Other jacks that have the height needed for my Jeep weigh 10x’s more than the little cheapie scissor jack.

Eric Lock the harbor freight aluminum race jack is pretty decent and I’m pretty sure 4wheel parts sells a mount with quick release pins to hold it. I have this jack and it has enough vertical lift to jack up my brothers tj (35’s and a rustys off-road 4 inch long arm lift) but not enough vertical lift to jack up from the frame unless using a 4x4 wood block. Could just use a highlight trail jack though about 60$.

Moved from PC Beach FL to Colorado in 95 uhaul had no car trailers available in a months time and Penske said our van would not fit decided to risk it went with penske on the way saw a uhaul car hauler at a car lot they said they weren't renting anymore and the trailer was the last unit. Rented the largest penske truck went back to the car lot the guy even adjusted the coupler to fit the penske ball. Getting fuel in Louisiana I found out they rented penske the guy came up while I was checking inside the truck I saw he had a penske shirt he said he was going to report the uhaul being towed but when he saw my baja bug in the truck being a vw fan he'd look the other way our van was a vw vanagon got to Colorado uhaul didn't have the trailer in their system luckily we had the paperwork. Looking back I wouldn't take the chance mix matching companys /equipment and self moving that distance by yourself is not for the faint of heart the feeling pulling out of the driveway with all your possessions and your family/pets while exciting it was an uneasy feeling at best well our weinner dog learning to blow the horn on the van was comical

They're seriously sturdy. I wouldn't leave them overnight without pulling vacuum again, but for a several hours (assuming no massive temperature or pressure changes) they'll be excellent.

I was wondering about them too. Without touching them ourselves it hard to guess how well they hold. One thing they could do to get twice the holding grip at high speeds is swap the front and rear bars around. While cruising down the road the front bar will be pulled upwards and holding on, while the rear bar will always be pushed down onto the roof. I wonder if the instructions say to install the dual suction cup bar at the front and "they missed it"?

I would think that the bar with the 2 suction cups per side would go in the front and the single per side in the rear. The wind on the tires as your going down the road are trying to lift up the front and push down in the rear.

all you do is drop a gear, the clutch weights up with rpm, yes the engine will run a little higher but it'll stop slip till the next stop where weight can be added safely. the clutch weights work with rpm. not load

The only thing that matters is getting the car moving, once he's off the line there is going to be plenty of engagement. The torque difference going through the clutch on flat ground versus climbing a hill is small compared to the forces that thing sees while drag racing.
