Totally agree about not storming the field if NU wins. It makes no sense to storm the field over a win against an unranked team that won 4 games last season. Ugh, it's embarrassing to think about. Save the goal post storming for big moments like beating an OSU or Michigan, or maybe even when/if we win 6 games to go bowling--those are the types of things a blue blood program would storm the field for. Stay classy Nebraska!! :)

The way that I understand the storming the field thing is that it's less about beating CU and more about a new beginning. Those 18,19,20 year olds don't know anything from Nebraska other than awful football and from what I understand from younger fans is that they feel like this is that pivotal game to bring us back to greatness This is just my take GBR

I agree with you on Husker fan base. I moved in from Afghanistan in 1983. Knew nothing about American Football. Became a Husker fan in 1984 and my first game to watch was agains OU. Played as a kicker in high school having a Husker legend, Tony Veland, as my holder. Still in contact with him. I'm still a Husker fan and there are many Afghans living in Omaha and Lincoln that love the Huskers. Love it and GBR!!!

It's really all they talk about. They wanna pump their chests out and try to be the BIG DAWGS in CFB but when you engage with them, they just bring race into it. Could just be the louder fans on social media because many of them are new and on the bandwagon (nothing wrong with that) but they rarely talk about actual gameplay.

I’m down for storming the field this weekend when we win. It’s not about beating a team we should beat. It’s about saying the curse is broken, and after 20 plus years of watching my team struggle in nearly every important game, and being made fun of for being a husker fan, all the jokes, all the one score losses; I need a point in time to say we are done being a pushover in every game that matters, and we are coming for our rightful place fighting for a shot at the National Title. When we whoop Colorado this Saturday, I think we should storm the field and celebrate that a new era is upon husker football, and it’s time to leave all reservations about this team behind and embrace the rest of this season. This weekend is the turning point I want to tell my future grandkids about, and say I was there that day, the day we stormed the field and put the past behind us. maybe that’s just me though, either way, I’m getting down to field level and soaking in the moment under the lights. GBR

As far as storming the field, i say feel it in the moment. If its a complete blow out and the rest of the year looks really good, let it rip. If its a last drive win from a touchdown or turnover, go at it. But if its methodical grinding but comfortable and controlled 7 to 10 point win, don't force it. Let the moment dictate

Husker fans haven't seen a bowl game victory in 26 years! They STILL drinking the coolaid lmao! Underestimate CU everytime and they get spanked like routine! Colorados job is to remind you again the 1970s are over, and not coming back. CO exposed Nebraskas program in 2001, and tomorrow we put the stake in it. Copium for 'Freshman Crayola' is laughable and you know it! Its the Frost, Martinez, Mccafery, Simms false hype story all over again. We get the last laugh of this rivalry tomorrow, and then move on to better things HA! Good riddance to your insufferable, bitter, arrogant fan base that we never have to see again. You will never learn 😎

*Nebraska went 5-7 last year. CU spanked them badly! Cu brought back essentially the same team but better trenches to go along with their top Qb, and Top athlete. Nebraska brought back the same team but with a freshman QB… Last week Nebraska played a bottom tier FCS team and CU played arguably the best FCS team. The narrative these media people are attempting to spread makes them all sound stupid! Nobody is using facts*
@lukeschmidt73532 ай бұрын
lol. UTEP is a FBS school, not a FCS school like NDST. NDST didn’t win a natty last year (not since 2021) and have a new coach in his first year, they are not the same unbeatable FCS school from 2011-2021. Dylan as a freshman is still clearly better than any QB we had last year. All he has to do is not turn it over 4 times in his own territory. Nebraskas D will be way better this year as they won’t have an Offense that turns it over 4 times a game. Nebraska by 17 is my prediction.
@francisrauth92012 ай бұрын
So tired of CU fans talking about last year, its not even upsetting its boring. NU beat themselves more than CU beat them. CU didn't strip the ball away or anything like that they just kept dropping the ball not just against CU but everyone. CU didn't do anything special to cause those turnovers they were self inflicted. They beat a barely functioning team early in a transition year in CU's stadium. Move on, last year's score has nothing to do with this year. CU has made some minor improvements that prolly won't really gel until mid-season while NU is a significantly improved team.
