if these lights goes out you have to replace the whole thing ? or just the LED

Yeah the whole unit but the only part I would need is the 5 inner bulbs. With time there will be a system to change out these bulbs. There are companies that supply just the LEDS to be soldered in

Go for it but I grabbed an extra set so I could keep the car running and double check when everything was done. You go this
