You're happy with the results but you didn't remove the interface completely. Kind of sucks having 3k in electronics and it doesn't work right. Im having the same issue but I have a maxxum trolling motor. This is such a disappointment for Humminbird. They really need to figure this out.

It's not just Humminbird... got a Garmin 9sv and digital 55 Maxxum the interference is at low % once around 70% clears... hey, they've been engineered... my old 5 speed 55 Maxxum was clear after running the power for Garmin 7sv alone on 1 side of the boat... with the same set up the digital 55 just wont clear... bought 2 ferrite rings wrapped them according to instructions [I'm an electrician] ruined a transducer cable 7sv... that would have cost $200 for a 6 yr.old Garmin unit... Now $1,700 down the road with interference...[wont be wrapping ferrite rings, burn me once shame on Garmin following Humminbird guidelines]... at least they didn't clip me for the $3,000 + interference units.

Interference is coming from the armature inside your trolling motor. It is nothing you can do until you get a new trolling motor. I had the same issue ,nothing will fix your problem.
