1. Make sure to put deep line for the DMF to be safer during opponent's counter attack. 2. Classic 10 for AMF but hole player and creative playmaker can still work. 3. At least one box to box or orchestrator CMF. 4. Another CMF can be wide midfielder (LMF/RMF) to widen the space for easier passing option. 5. Anchorman for DMF or put defensive instruction. 6. No Extra Frontmen for CB.

Welcome to the hell.. Possession game is pain in head for us.. I have tried all other tactics and managers and still back to possession game. I have tested every possible tactic human can imagine.. So.. Best comfortable is 4-2-3-1 standard - but fro more safe from counters, put LB/RB to CB.. so tactic will become like Guardiola's City.. 3-5-1 + LB/RB (recommended Fullback Finisher) who consistently make runs in attack. so it becomes 3-2-4(one fullback)-1.... At the END i realized one thing.. Patience is main weapon to beat an opponent. Be calm, find free mate, watch every side of a pitch + map and score comes.. i have beaten 3152 str team with my 2775 team yesterday with standard 4-2-3-1 without any instructions.

I've only played about 20 or so games and I'm a LBC player. Before, i would be able to maintain close to 60% possession in most games with LBC. Now, i can't maintain possession like before. Pressing is too aggressive and automated, passing is awful, and player movement is rather weird in LBC. I think i will give possession a try.

Try 1 CB formation like Pirlo in PES 2021, good if you press high

Deep line actually helps people with quick counter, if you make deep line with your dmf you lose a midfielder to close the middle of the pitch so you press with 2 midfielders and leave yourself open to the back line. Make sure you put defensive instruction on both cmf if your going to use Deep line on the dmf
