I need some informations from you. Please answer at your convenient time. 1. Why did u avoid the Kargil way to Leh? It would have been a gradual and minimal increase in heights rather than the Manali way so that acute respiratory problems can be avoided as much as possible. 2. What do u feel now? Would it been easier for u to travel to Umling La with a better bike than ur Aerox? Please don't mind for asking this. 3. From where to get the permits of Umling La and Demchok? 4. What should be the right month of the year to travel to Ladakh on a two wheeler considering the cold weather and water crossings of Ladakh?

Ans 1- I wanted to do Ladakh circuit only.. Srinagar falls under Kashmir state and I will do that separately and enter Ladakh via Kargil.. wanted to cover Ladakh series only this time without Zanskar Ans 2- Bike is always more comfortable, safe and it will climb more easily in passes for higher torque but I wanted to do it specifically in scooter/scooty as mentioned in first 7 mins of episode 1 about motive of this ride that if i can complete it in scooty people having bike with less engine power will get motivated to go for this dream ride without thinking for buying a new bike.. i will still go with scooter in future ride carrying forward this message even though i know i will have to face lots of hurdle again Ans 3- No separate permit required for Umling La..your Ladakh payment slip for Hanle is enough.. nothing is checked by check post for going to Umling La but your payment slip will be checked while entering Hanle ( check Hanle episode 17 regarding that and ep 18 for Umling La ride).. for Demchok if u want to enter village ..that is not certain..u need to visit Leh DC office..write a letter to him..meet him and if he approves your entrance and puts his signature then the office will give you a permit to enter Demchok ( check episode 10 regarding that..i have shown in details ).. otherwise you can only visit upto Demchok checkpost and return..staying is not allowed in that village as on date even if u get permit to enter..it will b written in permit and i have shared that screenshot too in ep 10 Ans 4 - if u want snowfilled road and adventure then June 1st week is the right time to hit Manali - Leh highway..if u want clear and more safe road then visit after 3rd week of June but not later than July as monsoon kicks in
